I don't really think there's any reason for him to go back. If it was a message, I saw it more as a "This is over, now move on with your life" kind of thing. On the other hand, if it wasn't a message, it would be crazy dangerous to go back. (Which is why he probably will. He likes to think he's manly and impulsive.)

The only reason I can see Jay going back to Brian's house is if he's being dragged back at gunpoint or Slenderized. He's not that much of an idiot, I hope!

Could be, but I think there are other equally effective means of doing that. I know TTA was all fed up and everything, and I know the series doesn't put a lot of stock in effectiveness, but still. While that may have been part of it, I think it served some larger purpose.

That's what I was thinking, Clam. It's as though the interference is a residue left on the victims after Slender Man has stalked them, or been close to them! Then again, out of all of those videos that Jay looked through, there were only a few that were noteworthy, so why did Alex not generate the same kind of interference more often?

So I'm getting my friend into marble hornets, and explaining things to her as we go through them. We just went through entry 13, and a thought occurred to me as we discussed it. The camera operator is Seth, as we decided I believe. He focuses on Slenderman immediately after the filming is finished. It seems to me watching it now that as soon as he can he focuses the camera on Slendy. Almost as though he were concerned about the random tall guy. My thought about it is that Seth was already being stalked by Slendy, and was in a paranoid state like Alex where he films Slendy all the time. This means he would have had a memory wipe before entry 9, but would still make sense to me. That's why Alex brings him to the basement of doom, he wants to bring back Seth's memories so that he can have a partner again. Let me know if this is stupid.

Sooo entry 17. Alex wrote the script by himself? All of it? Even though entry 20 has Alex declaring Jay co-script-person or whatever? Or is entry 17 chronologically before 20. I thought 17 was later, and that would make the statement a bit of either a lie or memory loss.

I think the entire crew got stalked at one point or another. Seth was inevitably drawn in somehow, though whether it was before Alex's encounters or after... it could also be that Seth had a creepy vibe off of the guy and his first reaction was to keep an eye on him.

As for #17 vs. #20.... Bah ha ha ha, I hadn't noticed that before!

#17: Alex says he writes the entire script himself.

a) Why didn't you put this in Game Discussion? There's no need for a separate topic.
b) This has been theorised many, many times. It's not so much "theory" as "that really obvious thing that everyone has thought of and posted about."
c) It has, in all but plain words, been refuted by Word of God; when inquired about it, J said that he "didn't really remember Alex's middle name, but it didn't begin with an R."
