Strangely... I came home to another FL mailing. No pickup needed, not couriered I don't think, just first class US postage. Another badge, exactly the same as the first one. I only filled out the form once. At least, I don't think I did more than once - if I did it would have been the equivalent of clicking the submit button twice... can't remember if I tried uploading my pic twice, but afaicr I only submitted once.
Anyone want my other badge? Except that it has my name and picture on it though Laughing

Re: badges

Clearly the PMs like you better. Probably because you've been saying only nice things about them, while those of us who have yet to receive badges may have occasionally said something slightly critical of this ARG. Mr. Green

This ARG or others.

And it's looking more and more like that's not going to be changing as far as I'm concerned.

I was planning on taking the family, introducing them to ARGs and making a day of it in the city. But we can find other things to do. I really don't want to make it seem like some kind of a big deal to them. Just to end up being ignored.
That wouldn't be a very good way of introducing them to what these games CAN be.

I just don't get it. Even if they'd have said "resubmit with a better picture." that would have been something I could understand. Silly as it may sound, at this point I DO feel like I'm being actively ignored.

The only other thing I can think of is that they want people to use several emails and set up several accounts so they can give Disney inflated participation counts.

I'm quickly souring on the whole thing and can't help "venting".

Well, the Iron Man game will be starting soon.

Nope.

and,

Not at the time (that I remember).
I've only heard that phrasing from folks that DID get a reply of some kind.

Just to let you know, this thread says you don't need an Encom badge at all. There's a "VIP area" for those with badges, but the pre-event meetup and the press release itself don't require badges at all. Feel free to attend!

If I were looking for a body count, I'd make it sound that way, too.
But without a badge, I will see nothing "special", get nothing "special" or be, in any way, "special". I'm VERY reluctant to invest the time and effort without some hint that it'll be worth it. And frankly, at this point, I don't get that feeling.

You are special to us! doesnt that count for something? i thought you loved us!

in all seriousness, i think going without bades will suck only a little bit. you wont be AT the stage but you'll still get everything else! not to mention someone posted saying that they got a message which said that some badges would be available for pick up at the hotel. i mean why send out badges when they wont make it and the people are coming to you anyway, right?!

If it was me, i'd go either way. then again, look at the van load we're putting together. idk where you live, but we should still have PLENTY of spaces if we get the 15 seater van.

If that's how you feel, then I don't think there's much I can do to persuade you. Personally, I feel it would be worth it anyway, the only thing "special" would be a good viewing spot for the stage.

Have fun watching the live feed.

You guys are great!
I'd be happy to meet up with you before or after the events, proper.
But I'm pretty well convinced I'll be in the cheap seats and missing out on most everything if I do go.
It's a 2.5-3 hour drive for me.
