 new forum section?

Wasn't really sure where to post this, if this is the wrong place then move it.

Anyways, I had an interesting thought today. I was thinking it could be quite beneficial to have a section of the forum, just for people to post their ARG-related puzzles. Then people that arn't following that ARG, can still help?

Thoughts?

Within a game's single thread, I admit it can be hard to find individual puzzles. But when a game spreads across multiple threads and moved to its own sub-forum, threads there get marked with the [PUZZLE] tag. Then people like me just look for unsolved puzzles to jump in on, without following the game's story. (I don't spoil the fun for the active players, I just look ways to help when players seem stuck.)

When a game stalls due to an unsolved puzzle, I have also seen people create a thread in the TimeWasters section, where the more puzzle-oriented people will see it. That forum probably serves the purpose of the new section you are proposing, without creating duplicate posts or drawing players away from their game's center of activity.

I often think a good ARG puzzle should be tied to the game story, and really shouldn't work well as a stand-alone puzzle. There are so many other kinds of puzzle trails out there on the internet, that the puzzle addicts shouldn't need to get their fix by wandering into the middle of an ARG. But of course the reality is that there is a lot of overlap in people's interests, and some ARGs actually rely on cross-over from outside skill sets.

Just out of curiosity, were you asking as a player seeking help on some hard puzzle, or a player seeking more challenging puzzles for yourself? Or a person behind the scenes hoping to reach a wider audience?

Oh alright ^_^

And I'm a person looking for more challenging puzzles.
