I'm seeing some ancient astronaut theory related stuff going on here...

the symbols match up with the date.
it is not wind and reed.
it is the monkey and reed, at least as far as i can tell.

semi-related... i am going to start communicating with the becka character through video, rather than text posts. just a heads up so no one thinks i am a character this time around.

According to this

Monkey would be the symbol in the center of Becka's drawings. It almost looks as if she copied it off that pic lol

So yeah, still think its wind and reed Wink

 		I noticed some of the decoration on the box is designed like a compass, with sections for N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW.

If the symbols she circled mean North East, perhaps one of the North East designs on the box is the latch to push in order to unlock it?

They speak completely differently and don't reference one another at all..

So maybe the ikwh person left the box on purpose? and could this:

 		I told her to put the clasp to the northeast and press the 11th and 13th goldish crest things (there's 13 of them!) clockwise from the clasp... Maybe she'll do something?

 		Calendar Puzzle
This current calendar puzzle is super difficult. I am also pretty sure it is not related to opening the box, at least not as a combination, and I think that focusing on that is the wrong path. I think we are meant to decipher the date into the Gregorian calendar format. So far the closest that I have come to breaking it down is figuring out that April 30, 2010 comes out to 2-13 in the Aztec calendar ... except that the 13 for that date is not a reed, but the jaguar Ocelotl. I am having trouble with this because so far I have not been able to find a resource that converts Aztec-to-Gregorian, just Gregorian-to-Aztec conversion. I also used this website's calendar thing (www.mayancalendar4u.com) to look up dates, and it turns out that April 29, 2010 is the Reed day for the Wind week.

So I think that we are looking at seeing something happen in the game on either the 29th or 30th for this month.

OH! I see. I was using the wrong name for Reed. I was using Huiyo, when the site was using Acatl.

Just want to point out that the "Mailed by" field is a hosting company. I've seen it before. It's funny, their TOU or TOS is actually a TACOS (for Terms and Conditions of Service). It may not be important, but just felt like pointing it out, since I recognized it. Anyway, this is my first actual ARG. I signed up here a while ago, but never had the attention span to commit to one full time. And I may have given my email to Deus City, so that could be how they got my email as well. :/

Seems like many of us here who got the email were once involved in Deus City one way or the other. If it's the same group of people behind the curtain working on this, i'm having my hopes up for a great one!

Oh, and btw, in the TV series Flashforward, April 29th, 2010 is a significant date where everyone saw visions of themselves on that day. Dunno whether they're related at all, just a thought Smile
