This is old, you noob. Epic Fail. This has nothing to do with the ARG, it's just a tie-in game to Tron Legacy.

I always try to, but the "semi" personal attack was uncalled for.

I'm sorry, just was in a bad mood. Nothing personal, I apologize, it was uncalled for.

You are definitely forgiven.. I overreacted back.. I have watched your posts, and you do provide a lot of good ideas. I was just surprised. No worries. Let's head back to the gamegrid and have some fun.
Have a great day.

This was exactly how I was welcomed to this site as well. Got excited about the ARG around trailer time and was told to "Calm down, newb". Seems Tron nerds aren't as welcome around here as ARG nerds. Oh well.

In fairness, this viral has brought a lot of new people to the site, or brought back people who dont post very often - I think this is a case of new guys flaming slightly newer guys.
Notice the guys whose post counts number in the thousands don't get bogged down in this stuff.

Unfortunate that you (with a sum total of 6 wholly appropriate and thoughtful posts) got caught-up in that earlier bit of chastisement from an older, not-too-active, member to a newbie who was kinda... hyperventilating. I'm absolutely convinced it wasn't directed at you, though.

Thanks for the thoughts, but I am not that much of a noob anyway, just because I haven't posted. I have been watching from the sidelines over a few ARG's for the past 3 years now, and this one is the first that I have decided to post.. Most of the time the answers are coming from other members so fast. It just felt good for about 23.6 seconds to find something on my own.

This happens to most of us starting out. I remember when I first got into ARG's with the Dark Knight's Why So Serious? campaign. I found something online I thought was new and posted a new thread all pumped only to be told by several people that it was old news and I was cluttering the board.
I think older members tend to be more mellow but it's not always the case as we are all human and sometimes we act out. That said, usually the easiest feature to avoid these situations is using the Search tool to see of a pre-existing thread exists. Whether members take the time to search or not, I think everyone should be made to feel welcome even if they are getting greeted with one hand and hit with a trout by the other. We are all here to have a good time and ARG's are all about community play.
I'm sorry to hear you two had a bad start but I hope you both stick around. Flynn Lives still has a lot of life left in it, keep posting and contributing and lets all play this thing together. A nerd of any color is still a nerd, and uF is definitely a haven for all things nerd.

The two people have settled their conflict. Please don't turn this into a meta-bicker thread.
Back on topic, I noticed how nicely design correct to the film the Recognizer and blue player are. What I don't see is a strong resemblance between the shots of Clu and the long robed yellow character. It was my impression that is something different, more like a virus sort of character. The trailer makes him out as damaging the whole virtual world wherever he goes. I think this game is going to broaden the world of Tron a bit, and should make an interesting addition to the film's world. I just wonder what will tie in character-wise.

I'm always active. I just don't post unless I find a good ARG q:
