Is completely lost

I've been reading into ARG's over the past few hours and I'm really interested, I really enjoyed the "Just Another Fool" game just from reading it until the game jackers took over and the PM's just weren't interested any more. That was the sort of thing I could really get into and that style really sat well with me. Sadly I'm having a hard time getting into ARG's which are up on ARGN and stuff. So what should I do guys?

Rowan has posted a fairly useful guide to picking out new games here. The short answer? Figure out what kind of game you'd like to play and find one that fits, realizing you might need to be patient for the right game to come along. (IRC chat is good for getting a feel for games...just ask one of the regulars in there.)

If you're looking to start up with a more individual, replayable-type experience, I wrote up a guide for those here. If what you're looking for is more interactive where you have one-on-one contact with characters, hang out in News & Rumors and look around for a game with a theme or puzzle style that catches your fancy. If you're looking for a more massive campaign that really crosses media, you'll want one of the larger games.

Sorry if that's overly general, but it's a lot like picking up a novel or a movie. It's easy to recommend a comedy or romance, but that doesn't help much if the person really wants a slasher.

What notgordian said. You can't pick a romantic comedy for a horror fan. (OR, rather, you can, but you can't make them enjoy it.)

I suggest going to the news and rumors section and clicking an a trailhead with an interesting name. Look through the first 2 pages of the thread, and if it doesn't interest you, then go back and start searching again.

Heck, take a leap of faith. Look in threads that might not interest you, you may find you like them after all.
