Hi Sylvia!! & everyone. Smile
I've been trying to futz with the audio from the video without any luck. Could the numbers suggested from the photo be somehow applied to adjust the sound on the video?
Or
Could the degrees be coordinates?

In the meantime, I emailed Frank my wild guess. By disregarding the outer circle (you all are amazing finding that design in the photo!), there's 180 degrees and 45 degrees. The latter being an eighth of a circle. One eighty eighth keys .... a piano?

I'll let you know Frank's reply.

eta Frank's response:
Quote:
I regret to inform you that is not the correct answer, but thank you for trying.

Hi driz, it's been awhile. Hope you are doing ok.

I was wondering about that ball of light in the video, could it be some sort of clue?

I went off on a huge "what if" tangent and ended up submitting every few steps in the thought process which finally led me to Harmonica. I have no clue where to go besides random tangents.

I sent Frank an email asking if the video was important or needed to solve Phonetic.png...

It is not. I basically lay out the contest rules, and there's not much

Here are the guesses I've sent to Frank as well as the replies. The latest is first.

Quote:

Me: If you are looking for the angle between two hands of a clock at 8:15, then the answer is 157.5 degrees.

Frank: Incorrect

Me: 247.5

Frank: Incorrect

Me: Blankie

Frank: Nope. Good try, though.

ETA* Hi Sylvia, long time no see, iirc the last time, you were getting ready for a grandchild. Smile

Here's my latest attempt.

Me: Ok, this is probably the most random tangent ever, but I'm stumped and it's 4 a.m., so this is the best I can come up with tonight. If the angle is 560, that would translate into "fife six zero," which is an anagram for "firefox size." Soooo, are you looking for the size of the picture itself? If so, it's 932.25 KB and 600px × 655p.

Frank: Let's just say the beginning of your "tangent" is almost exactly what
I'm lookig for. Look around, pay attention to a few details that may
not actually come from the image, and try again. You're practically
there.

In the source code of his post is this: "!-- generated

12700 bytes batcached for 300 seconds
--"

Is that normal for Wordpress?

*ETA From what I can tell this does seem to have something to do with how Wordpress handles posts. I sent this to Frank with a subject line of View Source, I'll post what he says if anything.

Yeah, that's definitely normal for Wordpress.

Hi nax, hope all is well with you and your family and your wonderful grandchildren. Yep, I had another grandson. All together, I've got three handsome grandsons and two adorable granddaughters. I love them all so much words can't explain it. As for me, I've been pretty sick and the doctors are talking about the big C word which I'm trying to ignore for as long as I can. But enough of that.

Getting back to the game, I've been looking at the images at Sunshine Books to see if there might be anything up with them. I don't have photoshop, and my software is quite old but it does ok. So, MrToasty or anyone else who has photoshop will have to take care of that part.

trying to put the pieces together

Taking info from; Return of the ARG Practicum, the Electron Innovations thread, the I Know What Happened thread, and from Frank Eastley's and Karmaclimber's Twitter pages, etc..

    1. "Sunshine Books 4 Less revolves around a series of strange, defaced posters scattered around downtown Dallas." *

    2. Kramaclimber, from the Electron Innovations thread, is following Frank Eastley, from Dallas TX, on Twitter. **

    3. The latest posts on the Electron Innovations thread have something to do with the Aztec calendar system, history and symbolism. ***

    4. The I Know What Happened started with a puzzle related to the Aztec calendar and continues to do so. ***

    5. Not sure yet how Priestly Industries fits in to the big picture but it will be interesting to find out.

    * Who lives in or near Dallas Texas, I believe someone will need to look for those "strange, defaced" poster.

** The fact that Karmaclimber is following Frank on twitter shows that Sunshine Books is tied into Electron Innovations somehow.

*** Facts 3 & 4 above prove, at least to me, that "I Know What Happened" is also somehow tied in to Electron Innovations.

I still need to read and understand the Electron Innovations thread, but would greatly appreciate it if those of you who have been following it would write a quick review with names, links and anything else that might help.

Now for the best part

I think I figured it out, hopefully.

    Five Sixty

With the hint from Frank's twitter post about Union Station.

Construction at Union Station. Kind of a hassle shuttling when I could just get off there.

I'm not sure about the construction part but someone more familiar with the area or someone who wants to look it up should know/can get that info.

With that being said, I believe the place we need to explore is:

Of course, I could be way off base but it's worth a try.

So, would one of you please send that answer to him and see what he has to say. I really don't want to get into the email thing right now, I just want to stick to the comment sections. I have my reasons.

Looks like Sylvia got it!
I sent "five sixty" and he said it was a bingo and wanted an address.

Hope everything's okay, Sylvia. Would it be okay if I sent you whatever comes my way in the mail?

Yay good job Sylvia. I sent in "560 Reunion Tower in Union Station, Dallas, but he said he "needed to see it a certain way" so I just sent in Five Sixty Reunion Tower instead, hopefully that'll be ok.

Nice solve, Sylvia!

Where does it say that? I had no idea that's what it was about. I only followed EI2, and that was mostly last year, with a very little interaction this year on the blog.

I know in your first post, you talked about two or three different games converging, but I didn't read the ARGN article. I haven't even looked at the other games you mentioned. Without the article, how easy/hard was it to connect the dots?

Hey guys. Been a while since I've logged in. I'm looking to jump in on some ARGs now the RL has calmed down a bit. It looks like I jumped in just in time. I happen to live in Dallas and can go check out reunion tower tomorrow afternoon during my lunch break. It has been a while since I've been to that area. I do believe there is a lot of construction due to the fact that they just demolished Reunion Arena just down the road from Reunion Tower. Those familiar with the Dallas skyline might recognize Reunion Tower as that big building with the giant ball on top. It's the most recognizable building on the Dallas skyline. I've never been to the top, though. I wonder if that's where I will find these posters or if they will be on the street level.

Anywho, I look forward to jumping back in. I played EIC last year and was a bit disappointed with the sudden ending. Glad to see they are picking it back up.

Game On!
