Re: question

Ok I Been to the Denver Axon almost everytime and have got every one except this time at 9:55 (winning). My question is how do you properly pronounce Apocalypso, so that tommorow I can get it right? I swore I had it right but according to Melisa I got it wrong. Do you pronounce it like Apocalypse just remove the E and add an O because that is what I did and still got it wrong. Please help this is probably wrong board but this seemed close. sorry for any misspellings or punctuation I am not very good at writing.[/google]

I pronounce it:
Ah-pock-ah-lips-oh
It might recognise:
Ay-pock-ah-lips-oh

Here's one idea I was toying with... the 777 AXON counter on the top is not a goal, but instead is when Melissa will stop attempting to contact her crew. Kinda like a recurse 777 times type command. If this is the case, we want to aim for as few activations as possible to get as much of the story. Anyone else think my idea holds any water?

You know, I was almost thinking the same thing... and I am really torn on whether to get as many as possible or as few as possible. I would say we have been gives a little more direction in getting as many as possible, with the story line aspect of Melissa and the urge from Dana. But I think what you are saying could hold water.

I concur... that thought came up while I was away last week, thinking that, well if we keep trying for the maximum axons per clip, won't we reach 777 faster? and if unconnected axons are re-used for new clips, then prolonging 'extra' axons would mean getting more audio clips, no? ie just get the minimum axons per clip to unlock it, then move on... granted it'll stretch the game a bit, but it could potentially give us much more of then plot...

then again, maybe the PMs thought of that, and instead of having a potential bundle of clips go to waste, they may have a another stage where we're able to get the rest of the missed clips... who knows.

I'm all for the next stage.... lets go for as many axons as possible so I can get some interaction in (me not living anywhere near any of the axons and all).

Why would the PMs keep the axons open after the file was unlocked if they didn't want us to activate them... they might even lessen the number of available axons once we get closer to the magic number-777. I imagine it would be like the old man axons where only one axon activated will be needed to activate the file Question

The two current SPECs that I have seen are:

  1. That when the number of axon's activated reaches 777, then the game progresses to the next level (ends?) either preventing further WAV file releases, or releasing all remaining wave files.
  2. That the inactive axons are left cold for the remainder of the week to give others a chance to participate, and for the PM's to get feedback on their active participants so they can tailor the next round of Axons

I'm sure there has been other SPEC, but those are my personal favorites.
