On the what to do page it says the question will be:

"what ship am I assigned to?"

what I heard was: "What ship are you assigned to?"

Since some other people and I didnt get recognized I was wondering if this difference is of any significance?

I had one fail yesterday on a phone that worked fine on Sunday. In fact it worked fine after Melissa hung up. Frankly I thought the "interference" I was was hearing was part of the tape. But yes it could be the phone. Or it could be they have some axons they just don't want to go hot right away, so maybe wait a couple days and THEN go back....

Flashbolt, what you heard is the same as what I have heard.

Linkage to multiple links to support above statement.

I convinced them I was on a scavenger hunt where you answer payphones instead of getting weird items, and asked them if they'd be so kind as to answer it for me and tell the recording my 'team name' (Apocalypso, natch) when it asked about a ship. They seemed amused and happy to do it. So, if 14:01 goes hot today, we have them to thank. If it doesn't, I will try to swing by tomorrow or on the weekend.

Social engineering is a beautiful thing. Too bad there's no sign of intelligent life anywhere near the axons I need to hit.

OK, I fixed that. The reality is by the time we listen to the rest of the phonecall the question has morphed in memory. Several slightly different versions have been posted.

Just be sure of this:

THE ANSWER THIS WEEK IS "APOCALYPSO"

I'll let someone else transcript smarter, but I absolutely love it.

It puts taxes_suck [one, two] and would_that_help [one, two] in to perspective.

Edited: Someone said something that made sense to nix a SPEC of mine.

again it's soo funny! Am I the only one who got the picture of the old t.v. shows where the guy comes in and says "honey, I'm home!", in my head? Durga's the house wife! Lol, awww how sweet, the super AI can cook!

Anyway here's the transcript:

(long wind up)
(walking, door opens)
(jazz music starts, other mechanical noises)
Jersey: Hey. Thanks.
Durga: For what?
Jersey: The lights and the music.
(ding!)
Durga: Chili is heated up.
Jersey: Chili? I was just thinking I'd have chili tonight. You knew that?
Durga: No, but I analyzed your food buying habits over the last 7 months, and chili seemed like a statistically robust option.
Jersey: That's scary.
Durga: What's wrong?
Jersey: It's not wrong, it's just scary.
Durga: No, when you came in, you seemed stressed.
Jersey: Naw, man, I've got trouble.
Durga: Tell me about it.
Jersey: It's in my inbox. I'm surprised you don't know about that.
Durga: I don't read your mail, Jersey.
Jersey: You extrapolate my eating habits based on my grocery store purchases, but you don't read my mail?
Durga: I respect your privacy.
Jersey: I don't believe you.
Durga: You are smarter than people give you credit for.

7 Months?

Just because Durga has access to 7 (natch) months worth grocery records does not mean she has been there that long. Very Happy

Edited my post to which you refer. Embarassed I realized it was WILDSPEC based on an assumption, and that the assumption was flawed.
