 		The new/old mask seriously reminds me of Grim Fandango, and it sorta nullifies some of the HOLY SHITness of it.

In related news, I was smiling like an idiot because ALEX. Was so happy with this entry, and the return of Alex oh God he's safe ya--was that a tear in the film? Nah, I'm just trippi--WHAT THE CHRIST. SMILE IS GONE.

I, unfortunately, have no crazy theories to point out. I do think the series'll be scramming until summer though, either because of finals, or to give them time to film new videos. Or both.

 		Alex is uncharacteristically calm. Slenderman is uncharacteristically violent. Clearly their relationship has changed in the past three years. Just look at his posture: legs apart, arms out, hunched over. Slendy is pissed. In the past, even when he did act violently he did it without breaking that calm facade (see: Entry 14). Something pretty extreme must have happened to warrant that kind of reaction.

Another thing this entry reveals: Alex got away (well, almost). Up until now we've pretty much assumed that people who meet Slendy wind up dead, missing or insane but Alex appears to have made a pretty decent life for himself.

EDIT: One more thing, when the camera operator looks out the window at around 3:00 I wonder if we could use the glass to see a reflection of who's holding it.

As far as new shit: Once I saw the lightened screen grabs I immediately thought of Sarah too. I honestly don't know how/why that would matter but it's at least reviving a previously worthless character.

I also feel MM/TTA edited in the "HALP" sign to goad Jay into leading them to Alex. Although it almost seems too goofy. I should say that I am in the ARK="Alex" camp.

Agree 100%. SM was not attracted to the camera, he was attracted to the playing of the Marble Hornets-era tape in the camera. As people said, it's dumb that Alex kept the tape. It seems the tape was inside the camera already so maybe it can be chalked up to Alex being insane by that point. He gave every tape to Jay but forgot about the one still in his camera (which he promptly hid "forever").

My vague long-range theory: Alex caught SM on film and therefore needs to die. SM gets all up in Alex's shit and they pursue each other for a while. This culminates in Seth's death so Alex understandably freaks out and takes off. SM knows Alex is still alive and so corrupts Tim into Masky. Masky goads Jay into finding Alex and then shit goes down.

Great entry. It's about time this story move along.

Now I admit I don't really get into every details, I just stick with the basics so here are my thoughts:
I thought it was noticeable Jay says "they knew where I have been all this time". Exactly how does he know that, because he received a package? Not to dig too deep but I guess since he received the package on Sunday it was not delivered (Fedex, UPS etc) but left for him.
Someone mentioned the idea the first few minutes of the tape is Slenderman taping, which doesn't make sense because the height of the camera being held is pretty much the same. if it was him, the camera would be higher. The first garbled images are exactly what she says it looks like then she must turn it on.
I'll say it because nobody else has: Alex's friend/gf is hot.

It's also interesting as Alex doesn't get upset that she found the camera (no surprise reaction) just "turn it off". The Slenderman shows up in reaction it appears, runs up the stairs then alex tells her to run down the street.
So if Alex did escape it before, it's now back, and he needs help.

I'll agree too that it looks like anyone who sees Slenderman is cursed, and once the door is opened it's very hard to escape him. Alex appeared to have done so, but flipping on the tape instantly made Slenderman appear. How TTA/Masky fits in I'm still not sure, he seems to want to provoke Jay into learning more. Is it possible TTA is actually on the side of good, not evil, in the attempts to get rid of Slenderman as previously Alex left?

Damn, that would be amazing if true. Can they keep up the tension and pace (or pick them up) for another year of entries? There ARE many leftover threads that are unanswered, as has been noted often; perhaps they are for another season to reveal??

OK, we have here a video that has been through a few hands, it seems. Originally, perhaps, Alex's, though the distortion appears quite different than the previous types, I think.
We've got new stuff on there that seems NOT to have been from the old MH series era.
Why? Could it be that the stuff is more recent, taped perhaps by Masky, and planted in the closet by him? ... And then this is the stuff that the girlfriend remarked on.
...and then, we've got the Attack (O YEAH O YEAH THAT WAS AWESOME! I so agree with JKatkina that that was a HUGE relief that it is NOT Jay just giving up the chase!!!). After the attack, we are facing a couple of possibilities, methinks.
1. Alex tacked on the "HELP XO" thing himself. IF the Warning had really ALEX KRALIE's footage in it, and Alex had shot the mannequin and such, it works, but I don't think so as Alex did seem so 'over' the whole scene until the cam reappeared (if it was really one of the old ones of his; it could be he was explaining it away for the girlfriend, and it was clear that Alex has entirely hidden his filmmaking era from her, and sworn off cameras since then!).
2. The camera in the vid was picked up afterwards by Lackey Masky, or anyway Masky, and it was Masky who shot the "HELP XO" bit. That would make some more sense; Masky seems to be tracking Jay and Alex both, can reach them, and can get them stuff. Also, if we assume that instead of Warning really having Alexy footage, Masky was parroting the old Entries' words, as indeed there was much of that!, then the HELP stuff was in Masky's own style; this seems right to me as Alex seems a changed man and also totally uninvolved. He doesn't seem to be even online anymore as we know Masky is watching Jay's YouTube and can respond but Alex seems oblivious to it all. I mean, the MH channel is valid in-game material and therefore Alex is not just ignoring it because it's not supposed to exist in his 'world'. Y'know?
Then Masky sent the video to Jay, with the plea to help him save Alex. ... or to save Masky??!??!?!? It's possible.

Or is there a third party involved??

We did have warning that the Slender Man would promptly appear, indeed (the tape damage), but otherwise the distortion before his arrival was not of that old, familiar sort. This suggests to me that Masky has been able to add distortion intentionally--not all of it is SM's interferency stuff.
I did also think that either that camera, the tape, or Alex simply thinking of SM was a summons and that SM teleported there in response to that. I wonder why SM didn't appear right in front of him? It's always down the hall or nearby, not right THERE. I mean, it did not feel like SM had been approaching for a while, walking slowly, and happened to arrive just as Girl found the camera.
It may be that the delay of 2 weeks was due to the challenge of Masky or whoever tracking Jay down after he changes positions repeatedly. . . .
but on the other hand, the tape was awfully prompt, arriving on the right day that was specified before; was that the sender finding him and sending it in the nick of time, or the sender being in full control of both the horizontal and the vertical??

I think that Alex is pretty back under his own control mentally, or at least was up till Thinny appeared, so if he wanted Jay's help and knew his location and phone number he could have just contacted him directly, by phone or personal appearance.
Unlikely that Alex would scrawl a Help message on paper, videotape it, transfer it to vid, distort it, upload it onto the tape, and then send it.
Makes no sense unless he's very very crazy or wants to be mysterious; but if you need help you don't make it abstruse! You shout HELP SAVE ME right???!! Right into the ear or face of whoever's nearby. Or who can help. It's a very odd way to react to an emergency situation, so it seems that the pressingness of the situation is not high in the sender's opinion, eh?

Maybe the sender set the date for himself--saying

"OK, let me give myself 2 weeks, and then I'll contact Jay with specific information. Either I'll save Alex by then and tell Jay that, or I'll have failed and I'll appeal to Jay for assistance. Either way it'll be on the 18th."


Whoo, lots of ideas pouring forth, and I thought I had nothing at all to say. Mental unblockage, check, but mental organization? Not so much.

I may go back and edit this later, but now I've gotta catch a train. They go fast and I forgot my sneakers!

Please don't anyone quote this whole bloody thing in response, as it would seriously irritate people; be selective if you find any of this quoteworthy! And I hope you do.

It's grand to be back after this hiatus!

 		Nth'd on the 'zomg so awesome!'.

Something that occured to me after watching the Entry and dancing for joy is that maybe as Miss Blonde is turning, Alex sees Slendy, mere seconds before she does. Cue adrena-rush, he grabs her and makes for the stairs. Would that make more sense than Slendy shoving/grabbing her, then lurking back so much?

I don't believe this is the camera-person, as that would make this shot her reflection, and we'd see the camera in it (also, I tried going frame-by-frame but I didn't see anything that would indicate there was a mirror in the hallway), so I assume that this was another girl in the house. I didn't see her hanging around after this shot, and I didn't hear her scream when Slendy appeared (if we are to assume he is lurking around the time the tearing occurs @ 4:03), so where'd she run off to?

Also found it interesting to note that the visual tearing occurred during the "help" message as well. Regardless of who edited that in, SM was nearby at the time. Wonder if that's significant.

Thanks for that - its pretty spooky!

Although, i'm pretty confident the blonde girl is the camera person. It looks like she has turned the camera around to film herself for a second (leaning on the wall with her left and holding the camera with her right hand) before moving to the next room to quiz Alex.

Thats what makes it so spooky! Its like Masky's mask - its almost child like, and children are scary!

He obviously believes he can face him.

Or he has resigned himself to the fact that finally it ends.

 		Slenderman is the ark.

The tape was sent by ToTheArk as a means of getting Slenderman attracted to Jay once again, since Slendy appears to have lost track of Jay.

Totheark hopes that Jay watching the tape, will get Slenderman to go after Jay again, so he can find his Ark. It is pretty much impled that TTA has been following Jay all along, but I'm thinking he's trying to get to Slenderman.

"Lead me to the ark".
