after reading a lot of "theories", i feel we need to go through a basic a fact list of what happened.

first of all. J has never really been followed by slenderman. he showed up at the house that one time but ignored J. SM seems to have a stronger relationship to Alex.

also as ive pointed out before. TTA/masky seems to have an ability to either locate J and Alex, or has tabs on them to keep track. either way, its not that big of a deal on how exactly TTA knows. he is the omnipresent being that acts as a puppet master. which could mean he is probably the main antagonist.

Alex seemed calm because he couldn't exactly explain to his gf/ friend/ cousin? that the camera was behind all of his teenage angst 3 years ago.

the camera itself, i have two theories about. one it was either left by masky/TTA, or Alex left it there for 3 years and forgot about it. which seems a bit unlikely. the way i see it, TTA left the camera there so that way someone would find it and hopefully film Alex. yay for that because here comes "Amy"? to film him and summon SM to their location. i think SM appeared when Alex appeared on camera. the tape inside could of been anything really.

main point- Alex =/= TTA/masky

Alex has a strong connection with SM. possibly same as or stronger then TTA.

i dont think that clip in nightvision was sarah. it looks like Alex from behind. especially since it shows Alex in the rest of the cuts.

im just trying to sift through all the abnormal theories. i think the best way to get anything out of this video, is to accept certain things as we saw them, and not to go overboard with theories.

Now that I've watched the video again, I can indeed conclude that it's not Sarah, but probably Alex. I still want to believe that there's more footage of Brian and Sarah.

Totheark, I don't know if I'd call him the puppet master. Slender Man is the puppet master; Masked man/Totheark is just the pawn in his game. Totheark is the proxy, working for Slender Man and keeping tabs on Jay and Alex in the same way that, say, Mikhail got information for the Others on Lost.

Jay has yet to truly encounter Slender Man. That means his fight is with Totheark. As long as that holds true, he still has the means to cut the strings on the puppet; cut the strings, the master loses control.

I...I...I have no words. Brix were shat, I cheered when I saw Alex was still alive, I freaked out at Slender Man, and now I'm spazzing about it with a friend.

Skull!Masky really reminds me of Giygas' first form in EarthBound, is anyone else having that issue? Because now all I can think of is Jay beating on things with a Baseball Bat and shouting "PK THUNDER!".

This entry was so worth all the exposition we've had since the tape he found at the Tower. Oh my god, SO WORTH IT.

TTA more then likely sent the video to J asking him to help. it doesnt seem like TTA and slenderman are on the same side. thats why i say TTA is the main antagonist and more then likely has a motive we dont know about yet. Slenderman is just a monster who seems to attack Alex for a certain reason. that reason is unclear to me . Slenderman is summoned whenever TTA calls for it, atleast it seems that way to me.

Ah, this entry was fantastic, the acting was very believable and I wasnt expecting slendy to be just pop out of nowhere. Even with foreshadowing visual tearing. Very good!

I dont quite understand the beginning of the tape though with the flashes. Are they like alternate viewpoints from previous entries?

Hey, longtime lurker, firsttime poster!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but from 2:28-2:31 looks like a fire to me. As well, from 2:31-2:33, it looks like Alex could possibly be lighting a fire, as he is seen throwing something into a lighter area on screen. Possibly lighting up Jay's apartment?

Why didn't Alex jump out the window when he saw the camera? I have a theory: SM can't leave an area he's been summoned into. More importantly, doors don't work right for SM. SM has never gone into or out of a house in any entry. I think SM was stuck in the forest (see Entry 6) until Alex started filming himself indoors (see Entry 11. Similarly, once Masky summoned SM into Brian's house, SM could not leave (see "Admission").

It's a great idea to trap SM is stuck in Alex's new house, rather than allowing him to roam the streets. Alex could just stay somewhere else and not have to worry about SM showing up outside his window.

Now THAT was worth the wait.

Now we have several plot twists:

1. We have what amounts to a status update on Alex. He's alive and well, and he had attempted to put the whole thing behind him.

2. We have a major clue as to why Slendy has been stalking them. Cameras. It's something to do with the cameras, and/or the tapes. Amy pulls out a camera (planted there by TTA?) and Slendy shows up.
