Slenderman is a beast. A demon. A supernatural being. He is nothing, yet he can be anything.

In short, he's a fucking weirdo demon zombie thing that can shape into anything but he chooses a tall guy in a suit.

I voted other because it's obvious....

Slenderman is actually a friendly neighborhood girl scout. Duh.

I've been thinking about this for a while, and I'm going to agree that Slenderman is like a force of nature. It's like if a hurricane suddenly started acting like a living animal that was capable of some degree of thought and feeling.

Paranormal entity is my vote

O.O I think he may have been a pedophile when he was alive...and somehow came back...apparently, he normally attacks children right?

Maybe he's a force of human nature. I think the idea of the Slender Man somehow being a manifestation of fear is a very good one. It appears to me that he only appears to those who think about him too much, if that makes sense.

Regardless of any speculation, I completely agree with Sylocat's statement. He's the Slender Man. He is.

He/she/it has to have some human connection in at least some way because why else would he/she/it choose to imitate us by wearing a suit?

Let's get this thread a rollin' with craaaazy ideas now that we know that the Operator refers to slenderman. Or at least, that he is an Operator.

What do you guys think that even means. An Operator? Of what? Humans? Plans? Dimensions?

Also, if he is operating something, how does Alex know about it? If he didn't, he wouldn't write "Operator" all over his drawings. ToTheArk seems to know about it too (he had an "Operator" video).

Speaking of which, would the "Operator" video have any clues about what "Operator" means...or is it just a name placed on the video?

If Alex was spoken to by TTA (I'm guessing the Skully mask suggests that TTA was lurking four years ago, and didn't just surface while Jay was investigating) then the term could have come up.

As to what it refers to, I would imagine that he's got some important role. Perhaps we can start linking in the old WWII and navy footage that's been brought up in the TTA films.

Operators connect people.
Operators attempt to fix people, or experiment on them. Operators are invasive.
Operators direct the movement of (usually heavy) machinery and equipment.

I'm guessing that Slendy is probably the middle meaning of 'the operator', though my first inclination is that he's akin to a telephone operator.

Hey now, don't mock me for doing the same thing that we'd been doing since the start! Over-analyzing is the Unforum's bread and butter!

Think I might be beating a dead horse with the Lovecraft here... But he seems to be an entity similar to Nyarlathotep...

I think he is a Reaper of sorts. Stalks you, and kills you.
I almost think he is his own entity, a Slenderman. He is the only one.

He is, of course, a anomaly.
