I can totally see Alex having a "no cameras" rule in his house.

His excuse would be that he's Amish, but Macbooks don't count.

The real sad part about fiction, as opposed to real life mystery, is that any of these "clues" might just be plot holes. Yes, I'm still around. My computer died (coincidentally a couple days after I ordered a new one).

I must really say, bravo to the creators though. They really did deliver some juicy footage.

As for the entry, hmm...

Nothing much I can add. The longer arms are a very nice touch. The first image on the tape, kind of evokes an angelic feel. The head-like shape at the one end, and the feet at the other. The tiny ball things make me think of feathers.

Nothing substantial on my end that isn't really obvious. The footage on the camera all does seem to be edited together, which kind of supports the planting-ness, but I don't have any strong opinions on the matter.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but where are we getting the conclusion that Alex has a "no camera" rule in the house? I've watched the entry a few times and heard no mention of it.

I'd say it would be because of his reaction to her when she brings it out, and that when he sees it he tells her to put it back and that he is going to sell it.

I thought that was more his reaction to her saying "I tried to watch the tape on it but it was all weird and messed up" and him realizing what was on that tape but I guess it's open to interpretation.

Also, the way Amy says "But I thought we didn't have a camera" made it seem like he had told her before that they would not have a camera. The way she confronts him in general make it seem like the camera is a big deal.

A brand new thought!

PP99, 98, 97, etc. stands for 'power play' along with a count down. Yup, the ensuing showdown must have been excessively epic; too epic for a pitiful human-made camera to comprehend. Hence the fade-to-white!

What is alex typing

I can't help but wonder what Alex is typing on the computer. I doubt it's important, but anything can happen in an arg.

Hey, long time watcher first time poster etc.

I'm inclined to think the camera is not a plant for some reason. We know that Alex was filming himself constantly for months, and probably for good reason, so maybe he kept the camera for a "just in case" situation.

It's also possible that the camera itself can call Slendy, or maybe he can see through it or something. Like, she first points the camera at Alex and it freezes and it's like Slendy is saying "Yes, I can see you now, let me get a good look" and then some weird noise and a video tear to show that he teleported in and he's there. So if this particular camera is important to Slendy he wouldn't just sell it or give it away, putting some stranger in danger.

As for keeping that tape, when he gave the tapes to Jay he just scooped a pile of tapes into a bag and shooed him out of his house. Maybe he forgot a few lying around, including the one in his camera.

Another possibility is that he's involved with TTA and that's the camera used for the TTA videos.

Hadn't thought of the not selling it part. He does act protective of Amy, perhaps he actually had been thinking about what would happen if someone else got their hands on the camera. But then, why wouldn't he have burned it or smashed it or something? Unless the camera had some kind of restraining properties to actually capture him? (For instance, when Jay films Slendy close up, his camera winds up mangled -- Slendy escaping, maybe?)

I think that, because the camera already had the tape in it, it probably wasn't being used to make TTA videos. That footage seems fairly similar to what we saw in #22 and Alex was nearing the end of his running around, so the tape remaining inside the camera this entire time does make sense, at least to me!
