I just finished finals, so I've got plenty of time for once to help out. I just sent an email to The Herald. Whee!

LOL...well, Sirannon, Claire is currently unemployed and too scared to leave her parents' house, so I guess the two of you have a lot of time to talk to each other!!! (Dawn wondered on Claire's Wall which of them would win their poke war, and Claire pointed out, "Well i don't have much to do now a days so bring it on!!" )

Claire has a profile picture now; she's made a mask that's been on her mind for some time now. She says she felt better while she was making it, but feels more confused now. It's a butterfly, but the middle is missing...the mask doesn't extend over her nose at all (she must have some kind of firm band going around the back of her head to keep the two halves of the butterfly in place...never seen this idea in a mask before!).

What I find VERY interesting is that she has the Roman numeral III written on the bridge of her nose. What does this signify?

One of the first things I thought about when I saw that III was to look for the 3rd trump card of the Tarot deck, since there were many Tarot references during the previous game. The IIIrd trump card is The Empress. If this is the intended reference, I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean.

Dawn, Claire has also asked me where Vanessa works, since I mentioned in a message to her that I might not be able to get a reply from Vanessa until the next time she's in the office...so I did tell her that I wasn't sure how much I should tell her, but that Vanessa does think she's working for something to do with national defence and so there was naturally some secrecy involved. I also mentioned that I'm looking into the organization she works for to make sure V really is safe and not being tricked in some way, since neither Claire nor I really trust V's father.

Claire and I have been discussing her hallucinations and where she might have been held a little more. It's been through messages on Facebook rather than chats since last night, though...I guess at first we just weren't online at the same time, and she hasn't come into the chat thing since I logged into my ARG profile.

For one thing, while they are keeping her awake, she isn't scared when she hallucinates:

I don't actually recall much from the last time, because towards the end I mostly just lurked. Didn't the majority of action happen in/near Greenwich?

I'm actually working on a page on the wiki to try and summarize what happened last time...but my memory sux, so after I get through the part that's covered by the Timeline section of the old wiki I'll be asking for some help (but please don't jump into it just yet as I want to get down there a bunch of stuff that's jumbling around in my head first).

Edit: OK, I've updated http://argon.wikia.com/wiki/A_Summary_of_the_previous_Vanessa_Atalanta_ARG as much as I can from the old wiki...because apparently once 2010 started, I stopped updating the wiki, as did seemingly everyone else. I won't be around much tomorrow because I'll be throwing a birthday party for my brother and his wife (born 1 year and 1 day apart, April 26 and 27) after church & then will either be back at church in the evening or doing school prep and marking for Monday. If some of you want to take a stab at summarizing events that happened in the ARG after New Year's Eve, please go for it. Good sources of reminders of what happened would be V's blog, V's Twitter feed, the Facebook Walls of the characters whose profiles we can still access, and of course the old unfiction forum thread (though that is one unwieldly beast to dig through). Have fun .

Maybe tomorrow Carina will notice she hasn't given me a codename yet ?

Had some stuff to get done in the real world, so I was away most of friday and yesterday. JPW's been emailing me, still refers to me as the 'Red King'.

A hidden message in his most recent email struck me as odd.

Just looking at it, it looks like "the thread of life is spun". I haven't run it through any decoder type things (still not on my computer, where all my bookmarks are), but just looking at it, that's what it looks like.
