 		i think they would start here, but i know how it feels to post as guest. plus im sure if they actually thought this far ahead and wanted us to know that information, they could easily make a name on here and just post it as a user who always comments. i could easily be part of MH crew. which means ive been right about teleporting and time travel and tim= masky. I KNEW IT. It always looked familiar to me! I was interested in the zodiac killings for awhile, would've made a great book. ;D Don't think it's related though.

I had the same thought when I first saw the Operator symbol; but there doesn't really seem to be a connection, so I dismissed it.

 		It was long suspected that the Zodiac symbol was actually an illustration of the crosshairs of a scope, since the zodiac was so efficient at taking down his pray, much like a sniper.

I really like the idea that it's a camera lens. The first time I saw the entry, I had a eureka moment and said "It must be the effing camera." But I think the reason for slender man's appearances are very specific to Alex. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the guy doesn't appear unless Alex is present, and J has never been is direct contact with him whilst alone.

Camera, or otherwise, Slendy is specific to Alex, and the person feeding J the information is either Alex, or someone who is watching him closely.

 		i was watching this show on the zodiac killer the other day and i noticed that as soon as they showed the drawing of him wearing the hood with that symbol on it. i kinda had a nervous laugh over that. but i doubt theres any connection intended between the two, just an eerie coincidence or maybe that was the inspiration for the symbol by the MH creators

It would appear that Jay is in close proximity to Slendy at the end of #23 -- or at least his camera is. Slendy also walks right by him in Return. For whatever reason it could be that Alex was present but not accounted for, however I'm guessing that that's not the case, what with him having a new life!

Just at add more confusion to the mix, it's also a Coda symbol, which in music refers to something extra, usually the ending to a piece. When it appears, it indicates that (on the second/final time through) you jump from there to the coda section, which usually has the symbol again above or beside it.

If the symbol's similarity to a Coda is intentional, then it could be a representation of an ending, the exit to a loop, and/or travel (literally or figuratively) to another place.

And there have been numerous musical exerts from songs in TTA's videos...you might have caught on to something there! Very Happy

That's what I was thinking. The one thing to note with the coda, is that it leads to the ending. The music will repeat itself at least once, and upon reaching the coda symbol the next time, you jump from there to the ending passage.

I'm working on the music from "Regards," which is likely in at least one other video. (I've posted a reconstruction on this page: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=28488&start=60) Maybe there is something of note with music in this, beyond coincidence and atmosphere. It would make some sense, considering that sound (and its absence) does seem to have importance.

That actually reminds me of a vague theory I had the other day, and never followed up on it--could the distortion be caused by frequencies emanating from Slenderman? That might explain the absence of sound in other videos; if Alex noticed a connection, he might've tried turning off the sound to avoid the visual distortion. I need to check the clips with no audio, though, to see if in fact there isn't the same amount of visual distortion occurring.
