Reminds me of those riddles...

If Rollerblades goes with Wheels, Then Skates goes with Blades.

If Freedom=7 Then 5+5=10? Question

~~
Wait... hm. If Sputnik appeared in the last transmission and the keyword for the Locations of the five major locations during the Cold War... ~_~ is Transmisson 3 Solved!? I Just wanna know what this is for!

The Freedom 7 Rocket launched and landed May 5, 1961. And 5/5/10 is May 5, 2010 so our best guess is that it simply refers to the date May 5.

This seems to have been partially confirmed by Nova Six's response on alt.conspiracy

And the sputnik clue was in transmission 2, it was only discovered after transmission 3 was released however.

The only thing that may not be solved is if "Dragonsbreath" has any significance beyond the name he chose. Could be an anagram for some gas or element (I see argon but nothing else). Could be a reference to shotgun shells or something else, haven't looked into it much really. Seems to me it would have some significance.....
hmmm Dreagonsbreath... Sounds like something dangerous... like a deadily gas weapon or combo of the three gases... Google better be helpful. Here is all of the information Summarized Razz

Transmission 3

Dragonsbreath...

I think I got it Very Happy -This is a Lucky guess(I can be wrong)-

According to that map, from Freedom7.com Very Happy One of the routes lead toward Illinois!!

Quote:
The law in the State of Illinois states that a Dragon's Breath round is any round that "contains exothermic pyrophoric mesh metal as the projectile and is designed for the purpose of throwing or spewing a flame or fireball to simulate a flame-thrower".

is it a fluke that the southern route leads to Floridia?

Quote:
This shotgun round is banned for use by anyone who is not authorized to possess, manufacture, or sell by the law. The wording is very similar for Florida as well.

Or wait... Could the last lead to Washington? It possibly could having this image being there...

~~
EDIT: There also is that image on the site of Freedom7.com.... The thin line under the route that leads to Illinois should lead to it. "The Capital Motel in Columbus, OH"

Earlier Translating the code to "usenet dragonsbreath" or Use net, dragonsbreath. Does that make any sense?

Hate to burst your bubbles but this site has nothing to do with the ARG.

As far back as 2006 this site was "Coming Soon" with the main picture of the rocket on it. See: http://web.archive.org/web/20061216203455/http://www.freedom7.com/

So unless they've been planning it for over 4 years...

(Others had ruled this out before by searching the whois and other stuff, but I thought this was pretty conclusive evidence that it's not related)

By the way, those routes are just highways.

Regarding, the last thing you said about usenet, usenet is an actual web service so splitting it up as you suggests doesn't really fit, especially since it's broken up at the 6th character in the recording itself.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet

Lastly, usenet is where we found the message from Nova Six.

!_! cool Razz hah, I had a feeling it was a mere fluke... But hrm.... I kinda wish they would tell me all of the answers, but of course there is no fun in it. I only "discovered" this yesterday and I've been addicted since, I want to know what this is all about. It was all neatly planned too.

I don't believe or don't think of any games so far. Having all of these elements makes it sound confusing along with Singularity and cod7.... Hm Hopefully tomorrow will be more exiting Very Happy

Are we certain that gknova6SPLATgmail.com is in-game and not a game-jacker? It would seem to me that they could easily have made an email account --SPLATgknova6.com rather than using a free public service.

I thought that too, as soon as someone posted the find, but given the time they posted and the clue, how could it be a game jacker?

Also given that they've made no attempt to contact anyone using that email...if it is a gamejacker they're rather lazy Razz

Furthermore, this site appears to be made by some Mac owner with no relation to GKNOVA6.

Forget about freedom7.com. It's unrelated.

100% certain gknovaSPLATgmail.com is legit? No. However, the guy that found it has a solution that works, and he was lead to gknova6SPLATgmail.com by the clue at www.gknova6.com. In my opinion those are some pretty big coincidences.

I may be mistaken, but didn't the solve only lead to the DRAGONSBREATH post? The post under it is the person who has the gknova6SPLAThotmail.com address.

Although I do admit that it would be a big coincidence, since that post occurred only 1 hour after the DB one. Since it took us much longer to find it, that would mean either the other person is in-game, or found the solve without sharing it.

I dunno, something just seems a little hinky to me. Not trying to proclaim that it's wrong, just suspicious as always. Wink

The DRAGONSBREATH post was posted by the owner of the gknova6SPLATgmail.com address.

You are right that the second post is an awfully strange creature. I am reasonably convinced that the second poster has no effect on the game. If you look at the guy's post history, it looks like he stumbled across the gknova6 post without realizing what it is. Kind of interesting to see the legitimate blurring of the line between game and reality.

I was totally confused by that earlier today too, but because of the reply. Anyways because of the way google groups is set up, when you quote someone it shows their email address making it look like it's yours. To see Nova Six's email address click the View Profile button next to his name. Here's the link to the posts for easy reference: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.conspiracy/browse_thread/thread/a4e3132abd29b230/89283aa67dd21968?q=

Rev 11D Meow! is clearly OOG, and clearly confused as heck. By the way, his email address is jimmySPLATcrack.corn ... (obviously fake or i wouldn't have posted it)

COD news

http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/callofduty7workingtitle/news.html?sid=6260595

It seems odd that there would be official news of this nature regarding a game that is in the midst of a ARG-type promotion. I think that this is another nail in the coffin that gknova6 has nothing to do with COD.

Oh alright! Thanks, that's what was bothering me. Strike all the above stuff: Yes, the email seems legit.

Not only that, but the next COD is set in Vietnam, which is a decade or so after this game's suggested era.
