Sure 'nuff. Two Disneyland 'E' tickets. (Ouch, I'm dating myself with that one!)
Which kind?

I'm sure you'll all get yours too.
Think I'm gonna take it out for a quick spin before I find out how much it costs to insure the thing and end up having to send it back. Flaming Nutter

The Light Runner or the Light Cycle?

Runner! If I said cycle, I'd also have to say 'no homo.' Razz

Indeed it has, as illustrated by wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_ticket
As in, "Damn! That fat chick was an E-ticket ride!" (Did I just say that? I did not just say that! I am in so much trouble...)

Me, as well as TechFalcon from Tron Sector. Strange that we would just be unable to login if it's a server issue, or even more content. Then again I'm not sure how the tech side of this works so my guess could be really off.

Hoping it's a sign they're updating rather than having difficulties keeping up with the flod of visitors.

Seems to be a server issue now but when I initially tried it was a different error. Something about the pool being full.

The tl;dr - yeah, it's an OOG server issue, not an IG thing we have to worry about. Hey, this is Tron, a computer-centric franchise, the possibility was going to come up eventually.

The long of it:
It looks like their SQL server either went completely offline, or for some reason the password changed or another connectivity issue. The error given when trying to login to Flynn Lives tells us this, and it's quite obvious all of our user profiles are stored on an SQL server. The forum data, though static, was also likely stored in SQL, so it could be easily updated, which is why that's gone missing too.

It's OOG because all places where you'd need a user ID, e.g. Encom and Dumont, are giving similar errors. These profiles are definitely all linked - logging into Encom for the first time gives a Flynn Lives achievement - so they're all going to be on the same server in the backend.

That and the user area of 42's own site is out of commission, with the same error.

In layman's terms: there's 2 boxes, the box that builds the page and the box that has our profiles and other data on it. The box with our profiles went boom.

so are you saying we wont have our badges anymore?

*begins sobbing*

also fyi for everyone expecting a package, they shipped from pasadena (42E's HQ), not san diego (look at the USPS barcode when you get it). i have a feeling that all along the merch has been shipped from pasadena, so now you can adjust your timetables for when you expect packages to arrive

All depends on how often they backed up the profiles. I might not have screencaps of my profile page, but I has my badges in sigpic form. That and the game will go on.

Thanks for the clarification lex.

For the love of all that is holy...

I just finished blowing up my third lot of 999 recognizers since there was some sort of error that prevented the badge from registering the first two time, and now this? How many recognizer genocides do I have to commit?
