But, granted, I'll give you about a 95% chance at this point. Razz

Based on frequencies of the first letters of a word in the English language, the chance that T, R, E, Y, A, R, C, and H would pop up in an 8-word sample is: 0.000000000434784924%

Actually, far less than that because that's the chance that the letters will pop up in any order.

Shoot. Now I think it's exactly that chance, and not far less.

Wait. I think I understand you now.

You're saying that "Treyarch" is a clue, right?

Or possibly a red herring. Some PMs can have a notoriously strange sense of humor. They could easily have been watching the boards and known just what to do to stir up the members.

If it is still for COD, I just can't figure out what tie it they may be going for after the release of that teaser. I mean, the time frame is right, but when I went through the video frame by frame to see the flashes slower, most of the footage took place in Vietnam and another tropical location (Cuba maybe?). There were only a few frames that had the characters trudging through a snowy forest that may or may not have been Russian.

Well, I'll remain skeptical simply 'cause I'd like this arg to be marketing for ........something else. Even if I've seen evidence to the contrary!
Don't get me wrong, I play the crap outta some Call of Duty games but an arg for a COD game? It just doesn't compute for me, I'd never think of a connection between alternate reality games and an FPS that has independent story lines with every title. That's just me though....

lol I'm pretty sure he's saying that whoever is doing this (if not treyarch) could VERY EASILY see that a lot of people want it to be them and just throw in a little clue like that to indicate that it is to keep everyone on their toes.

they havn't said "this is treyarch" and even if they did...anybody with a little effort could make a message and say "this is treyarch" and people would say "HAH! I TOLD YOU IT WAS THEM!" even though it was not them at all.

all i'm saying is, when they said freedom=7 how many people went to that freedom7 site thinking it had something to do with this? Did it? no. nova6 putting a clue directly saying "treyarch" does not mean that treyarch is nova6.

Is it probable? yes. is it definite? NO. that's all i'm pretty sure he was trying to convey there

I understand.

If this is true, the PMs would be dickwads.

But I'd be incredibly happy.

Well, to be honest, it wouldn't be the first time that happened...

My problem with this is from a marketing perspective: if you're going to create a game to promote a product, the important thing is that your audience know what the product is.

Everyone knew the Cloverfield promotion was for Cloverfield. Everyone knew the "Why So Serious?" campaign was for TDK. Everyone knows Flynn Lives is for Tron: Legacy. Each one of those promotions is sparking interest in the movie, and the promotions themselves succeeded in that it interested people to go see the movies. If the viral promotion for Cloverfield didn't exist, not as many people would have gone to see it or have bought the DVD.

This... we're still speculating. Right now it's not really promoting anything because it cannot be linked to a product.

And let's assume for a minute that Treyarch is involved... Looking at the content, can you honestly say that this is promoting COD7? Assuming that you didn't know Treyarch is involved... Will what you've seen so far on GKNova6 make you run out and buy COD7?

Quite honestly, what I've seen on GKNova6 made me interested in buying Singularity because it made me go to that site and think "Hey, this looks pretty cool."

If the intention of this project is to promote COD7, to spark interest in it, and to get people to buy it... it's not doing a good job of that.

Futuristic science fiction? Isn't the Cold War era in the past?

Well this was rather easy and I'm pretty sure we know when to expect a response.

From the spectrogram of transmission 4:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

KARL = b
Karl Marx born May 5, 1818
NAPOLEON = d
Napoleon Bonaparte died May 5, 1821

By the way both, were on list for, 33rd degree masons.

Good call. All signs point to that date then and I can stop wondering about Freedom=7 then Smile
5th transmission would be then too I'd guess.
