I agree with the idea of a buildup being caused over time. I always thought that when Masky seized up after attacking Jay, it was because he passed through a zone that had an extreme buildup (the same way that Jay collapsed and coughed in the same place!)... too much Slendy-presence for too long makes a spot untenable by anyone, masked or otherwise. It might fit with your warping theory, given that that particular place was between the closet and the warp door to Slendy's basement!

If there was more sound-based links, I think that'd be fairly fantastic! Still crossing my fingers that there's something hidden in the TTA messages!

I remember in one of the TTA videos, hearing something in the background that , at the time, reminded me of the sound a geiger counter makes when detecting radiation. I cant for the life of me remember which one it was, and unfortunately, dont have the time to go thru all those vids to find it. I do remember it being one of the earlier ones tho. If thats what it was and not just more of the background ticking and distortion that is in most of those videos. I just found it very interesting when reading this thread , it triggered my memory of that. Maybe someone that has the time to go back thru all of those can find it. Wish i could but im up way past my bed time and have to get up in five hours for work. If that is what the sound is, and , big if here, there is something to this whole radiation thing, maybe theres something in that particular video that weve all missed till now. Or maybe im just delusional and that isnt what the sound was. Regardless. awesome theory, and yea, that would explain alot of the weird side effects and such that Slendy causes

Someone mentioned hearing clicks in a few videos, and I've noticed it once or twice myself. You may be on to something with the idea of it implying a Geiger counter.

I think that was the Rogue Wolf; he hadn't found any morse code messages or other kinds of messages while listening through. A Geiger counter might not be a far off conclusion to draw! Neat!

I do kind of wish it was feasible to go through the posts and keep a record of the theories already put forth, as I had kind of already said this, and I don't suspect I was the first. But really, there are too many posts to keep track of in any reasonable manner. It's possible, just not practical.

Or maybe you posted this before me, I don't even remember when I posted it. I'm just frustrated that we're talking in circles without learning anything.

Luckily this game doesn't seem to hinge on whether we learn things or not. It goes, and we watch.

As for radiation, if SM was an otherworldly entity as I think he is, he could be radioactive here pretty easily. That'd be a fun way to detect him. Image J, Alex and Amy out with cameras, geiger counters and some sort of lead-based paint guns. Take that, Slendy!

Yeah, I meant something like... We continue to bring up the same theory that we brought up last week, then forgot about.

Mostly I'm just a little crabby because of how humid this room is, and how itchy the insect bites on my arms are. I don't mean to take it out on you people.

This is an interesting theory... I'm actually really fond of this explanation, especially since Masky's seizures and coughing. That brings up two thoughts:
1.) Couldn't this explain why masky distorts the video and audio when he's around? In the Loose Threads thread (lol) there was a lot of wondering about that. If masky is a former or current Slendy stalkee, then his clothes and body would have lingering traces of radiation, right? So when he's ppresent, the video might distort from that radiation.
2.)As well, maybe this means that (and this is a big speculation right here) the way Slenderman kills (if he kills at all) is NOT by physically stealing someone away to Slendyworld and eating their organs... but if he continually followed you, continually stalked you, you'd eventually die of radiation poisoning. I don't even know if I believe this theory myself, but it's somewhat like how Komodo dragons only have to bite their prey once and then they simply stalk it until it drops dead from poisoning.
I'm putting more stock in my first theory than that second one, though. I really do like this radiation idea.

It's kind of what I was getting at when I posted:

Maybe the pipes were somehow... infected. No, not infected. Like a television when it has been near a magnet too long, and it has that spot in the corner that is tinted green. Which may explain the audio static when the camera got close in Tim in Session #20, if Tim had been in extended proximity to Slenderman. Kind of like radiation sickness.

None of my theories have much to do with each other, but I enjoy making them.

But, I didn't see this thread. Possibly because when I was coming back from having no computer, I had missed it.

That seems like an extremely tedious and roundabout way to kill someone, and then there's the fact that unless Slenderman just like to work extremely slowly, none of the characters have shown the effects of a lot of exposure- wouldn't they be extremely sick and have burns or boils or something on their body?

Also, how does this account for Masky causing Jay to pass out on several occasions, as well as the warping?

Good point... I think my main motivation for that theory was that Slendy just seemed to have been STALKING Alex relentlessly, but we've never seen anything that could qualify as a real "attack". Which makes it seem that either he doesn't WANT Alex dead, or he's playing with him, or he can't kill him through traditional means.
As for burns, blistering or boils... Could that perhaps be the reason behind Masky's mask? It makes sense that he'd don a disguise if it was to cover extensive damage from long-term exposure...

Not sure about the warping.... the Jay fainting could be a side effect of the lingering radiation on Masky, too? I probably seem like I'm grasping at straws... I liked the idea, but i DO need to think a little deeper about it.

Whether or not Slendy attempts to use radiation as a slow way of killing, it's a very plausible theory that he is or radiates radiation. One could easily argue, too, that it's Slendy-magic doing it...but then, I believe Arthur C. Clarke said something like, "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Maybe it was Robert Heinlein who said that. Whatever the case, I think it could be expanded to, "any unexplained phenomenon can easily be written-off as magic."

I have to admit, I initially ignored this topic, thinking, "Radioactive Slenderman? That's just silly!" (I also mistakenly assumed that it was going to propose that he was a human mutated by radioactivity.) At the very least, I now consider this a strong possibility for explaining what happens to those who become involved with him.

Just thought of something while talking to Mellodragon. If the coughing and seizures, a'la J and Masky, are symptoms of Slenderman exposure, how come we NEVER SEE ALEX COUGH?
He has paranoia, and J said he looked sickly, and he certainly wasn't sleeping enough, but he never coughed or seized on video.
For that matter, any symptoms J exhibits can't possibly be from contact with Slendy since we've ONLY seen Slenderman in Alex-shot videos. The only one who's been caught on camera with J is Masky.
Maybe the radiation is from the WARPING- Masky and J both seem able to warp. Or maybe it's that damn house, it's certainly a health hazard.

Maybe Slendy's effects on people are not intentional but rather a byproduct of the radiation he possibly gives off.In other words, he doesnt intend to kill or harm people. I know this is a rather huge stretch, but what if Slendy's intentions are more about studying his subjects and not actually harming them, but being around them causes sicknesses and insanity. U know, the more i write here the more i feel this is not the case and how this sounds completely ridiculous, but just thought what a huge twist in the story this would make.
