characters

The characters in order:

Robin, (unknown), Flash, Skeletor, Superman, Rogue, Superman, Wolverine, Fantastic Four, Spiderman.

And as far as the Gobstopper reference, That was from Willy Wonka, maybe the start to a www. or everlasting as a keyword, as in Everlasting Gobstopper

I wonder if this is from one of the two independent games Nash said he was funding?

You sure that's wolvie there? Kinda looks like batman ala dark knight timeframe and art style. The last one could be Peter Parker as it is him out of costume for some reason.

hmm

I still think it is Wolverine because of the yellow on the costume, but I am no comic expert.

One thing to point out is that they are all heroes except for Skeletor.
Not sure if that has any importance.

Pict 1: Robin and Cyborg (Cyborg is a character from the DC "Teen Titans" series. Yes, that actually WAS a comic book)
2: Probably something from the Xmen... but I don't know until I can look at it in Photoshop.
3:All of the incarnations of the Flash (The original Flash wore the big silver hat, I remember seeing that in a "History of Comics" book. Not sure about the kid though...)
4: Skeletor
5: Superman & Lois Lane
6: Rogue & Magneto?
7: Superman (Modern)
8: Yeah, that's the Wolfie. You can tell by the gritty beard, the fang like teeth and his black ear. Batman would never get that pissed, he's more of a cool and collected character.
9: The Fantastic Four
10: Peter Parker

number 2

I dont think #2 is X men, from what I can see, there is a stripper and a dancing pole, her bikini top is hanging on his arm, he is using a weapon not superpowers, and the writing says part 1 of 2.

Not sure what it is, but hope that helps.

I'm going wholly on the X in the background, so take that one as you wish, because I'm confused with it as well.

#6 is Phoenix and a sentinel and it looks like Wolvie in the sentinals hand.

#2 is NOT an X-men; I don't know what it is but I'm pretty sure it's not X-men

I'll agree, yeah, that is Phoenix by the looks of it. Man, I totally forgot her costume, lol.

But we're still stuck. Why are these superhero pictures together like this?

#2's style reminds me of the comics Hellblazer, Preacher, 100 Bullets, and other vile, gritty comics.

Possibly:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Present your Golden Ticket at 10 am on Oct 1st

I congratulate you, little boy.
Well done.
You've found the fifth golden ticket.
May I introduce myself?
Arthur Slugworth,
President of Slugworth Chocolates, incorporated.
Now, listen carefully
Because I'm going to make you very rich indeed.
Mr. Wonka is at this moment
Working on a fantastic invention--
The everlasting gobstopper.
If he succeeds, he'll ruin me.
So all I want you to do
Is to get hold of one Everlasting Gobstopper
And to bring it to me
So that I can find the secret formula.
Your reward will be 10,000 of these.
Think it over, will you?
A new house for your family
And good food and comfort for the rest of their lives.
And don't forget the name.
Everlasting Gobstopper
