Silly question, but I'm assuming that this was a one-time thing?

Sadly, I was unable to attend yesterday due to prior commitments. However, since the stamps were an audio tour (that I haven't listened to yet), is it worth going down and browsing while listening to the audio? Or is that fairly pointless?

Hollar.

You would need the philatelic society brochure/application to know what order and where to play the tracks. Also, the stamp window at the end was only open for a short time. However, it might happen again next month. I don't see why it COULDN'T happen again. if it doesn't, maybe a copy of the brochure could be scanned for future intrepid philatelists. If you haven't been to a society meeting, you might want to do that anyway. it was fun.

ok so after processing the day and re-reading the literature we were given I'd say that what we have here is a spin-off. It's not a one-off event like Action or the Eva Memorial was but it's also not specifically part of the Acts.

Since it's monthly and seems to have its own story arc within the games of nonchalance world i'd say what we have is a spin-off concerning the Elsewhere Philatelic Society vs the Elsewhere Numismatic Society and their drama with each other as they look for the now-relocated underground elsewhere library. I suspect we might even get a chance to see the Numismatic society later in the future.

Overall if the posters were any indication these monthly meetings are designed as excuses to meet up with other games of nonchalance players and use up our 'social currency' between major happenings in the game. I suppose we'll see what this involves once we mail those postcards.

here's my album for the day: http://www.flickr.com/photos/everfalling/sets/72157623872075739/

contains the brochure. I'd say beware of spoilers but there's really not much to spoil. just ignore the numbers i wrote down if you wanna go do this on your own.

Is it monthly though? I know they mentioned that the group meets "every month" in the podcast, but the website indicates that "new members" were going to be "processed" on May 3rd. So it could have been a one-time thing.

Stamp v. Coin
the numismatologists are up to something

I was sworn to secrecy when I received it, but I was given an object in clandestine fashion during the meeting of the Elsewhere Philatelic Society that leads me to believe the numismatologists are either infiltrating our stamp club, or seeking to merge with us.

Later, I saw the flier demanding we accept the superiority of the coin, and this only made me more certain that something is afoot.

Does this strike a chord with anyone here?

Re: Stamp v. Coin

The meetings are monthly but the space is limited to 60 people ( or at least it said there was only room for 60 at the event but that could be due to only having 60 brochres or only able to fit 60 people around the obalisk). We had mybe 20 people there. I think there might still be a chance to join next month. We'll see. I think it would suck if they closed admission after only the first meeting. ESP. Snce this is supposed to be a way to meet new people.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I also received a very old postcard in the mail. From what I have gathered I have 3 and someone named Alexandra has 4. Everything is written on the postcard is pretty straight forward mostly telling me to find the other people. But the P.S. at the end of the note says "be sure to the cross bones mix" which doesn't make very much sense to me.
[/spoiler]

crossbones is the newest squad to enter the repository. perhaps they meant 'be sure to listen to the cross bones mix'?

Still no mail for me, official or not. *waits*

are the post cards something that would only be useful if combined inperson or can we get scans/pics of these here?
