As I've been getting the wiki caught up and crawling in detail through our posts here, a few things have come up that I think are worth mentioning:

- the caption that V has posted on her "Negative?" pic in the "'LOL' " album reads, "No - just seeing the bright side of the closure..." Reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptanalysis_of_the_Enigma#British_bombe, I noticed that Alan Turing referred to some of the closed loops related to his decryption work as "closures". In his comment-reply to Talaus on the picture of part of the cover of Quest for the Golden Hare, Aethalides said, "We created a logical circle, one that is very delicate and one that we must strive to uphold." Would this "logical circle" be considered a closure...one which someone in the Ministry seeks to disrupt?

- When Jason said he was not a bad captain, no hook instead of hand, he was referring to Captain Hook from Peter Pan, duh. Given that Jean has sometimes appeared as the younger John, a Peter Pan reference is appropriate. However, it may have further relevance, given that the handwritten message on one of the Atalanta Documents says "Looke for Hooke and Coade Annabell."

- When Telos discovered the hidden message in his e-mail and brought it up to Jean, Jean said "Good, glad you like your Shakespeare." The reference to "their thread of life is spun" was already discovered by Dawn to be to the three Fates…which correspond to the three witches in Macbeth…which came up in the previous game (and was especially related to Telos, since Vladimir told him to become the king of his chess board by any means necessary, which was also a Macbeth reference).

Props code and pic crackers! There's one evident connection between Frank Watson Dyson and the MOA:

I searched for "Notable Deaths 25th May 1939". I kept getting lists of deaths from 1939 but he wasn't on them. So I just narrowed it down to "Notable Deaths 25th May" found him here: http://www.historyorb.com/deaths/may/25 found him, googled his name and came up with the wikipedia article about FWD. I squee'd when I saw the picture.

So, the ministry wanted Atalanta (whichever one this refers to) to poison Dyson on 23rd May whilst he is travelling from Aus to England so that he appears to die from an ongoing illness.

This was to prevent some kind of interception from occurring which might interfere with the Ultra team (which, from what I understand, was the team tasked with solving the Enigma code).

Nice work on finding who it was. I planned on looking up the death date when I woke up today, but I was beat to it!

Now. Do we tell V what we know? Do we 'change' the course of history, or do we let it happen?

The thing with the game is that right now, it seems we're involved with two or more realities, as Dreamer and I discussed for a bit, and as she and Claire both discussed as well. Claire having two instances where she remembers V but both instances clash is one way of seeing it (as they discussed.)

My thought is that by using the machine, they changed something, causing other things to change (Which ended up leading to different details for specific events), and used the machine again to go back and change a 'mistake' that was made (Ending up in overlapping specific events, making two realities playing out at the same time). Even if we're not all effected by it in the scope of the game, at least V and Claire are, if not JPW and the rest of the ministry.

It was brought up that the machine may be being used to communicate with a figure in the past who is really behind the ministry. I can see this happening, I can also see it being used to contact the now dead JPW so that events don't play out the way they did when 'V' killed him. (Still doubt V would do it.)

So, if we tell anyone to change anything, will it really matter? Will the machine just be used to go back to a point before the person was convinced to do what we want and things play out the way they would have if we didn't intervene? Or what if we do stop this man from being killed? What would the result be in our time in the game?
