ok, I received a print on an 8.5 x 11 sheet, the actual image is greyscale and 8 x 6.25. It shows the silhouette of two robed individuals standing on clouds before rings upon rings of angels, with a bright radiant light at their center. I'll have a picture posted tonight. Also, S Day or S Doy is in the lower right of the print. Haven't been able to locate it online, however.

Maybe the sender is British and the SOD is the beginning of "Sod off!"

I'm wondering if the number on the cards would be any reason they were chosen to be sent.

More trinkets from Dale

Today I got one of the manila, bubble wrap envelopes from Dale. Guess they didn't
all arrive in one day.

I got a piece of heavy grade aluminum or tin with the owl stamped on it. It has a hole
punched in it as though it is ment to be strung. The owl image hasn't been cut out,
but the ring is about the size of ring left by a glass on a table. The entire piece is about 3x4 inches.

It looks like the first one was the mold for this one.

Boy, I'm glad I didn't get the pendant with the hemitite. For some reason I get severe headaches when I'm near it. Seriously, odd but true.

My Dale mail arrived today.
Standard orange envelope, same return address, same postmark - April 7th.

Contents: pages 243-250 torn from a book called "Our Lady of La Salette".

There is a Our Lady of LaSalette Mission
http://www.lasalettemissionaries.org/

Here is a background story of her
http://www.nsrasalette.org.br/ingles.htm

http://www.lasalette.com/

Over 150 years ago, on September 19, 1846, that Our Lady Mary appeared to two small children on the mountain of LaSalette in the French Alps. There, she gave them a message for the world to hear and follow.

It was the first Marian apparition of modern times, outside of a cloistered religious environment, to attract widespread attention, and to be "recognized" by Roman Catholic authorities.

- Patroness of the Holy Name of Jesus and the holy day of Sunday.
- Feast Day: Sept. 19th

Prayer to Our Lady of La Salette

I remember, Our Lady of La Salette, true Mother of Sorrows, the tears you shed for me on Calvary. Remember also the care you have always taken to keep me faithful to Christ your Son. After having done so much for your child please do not now abandon me. Help me to always keep, and help others keep, holy the name of God and the day of Sunday set aside to worship Him. O merciful virgin, intercede for our conversion. Amen.

Meaning of Himself

Here is what it means in a reading:

Himself
When Himself appears in a card spread, he not only indicates that a great amount of energy is present in the reading, but he also strongly energizes the faery cards around him. Everything he touches becomes more of whatever it is--more alive, more vigorous, more powerful, more awesome, or more awful. This card in a reading can indicate great vitality, victory, or triumph, confidence, and power. There is leadership, an ability to command, steadfastness, and integrity--wild power held and channelled for the good of all by will.. Himself speaks of protection, either of the querent or of someone the querent owes protection to, like a child or an elder. Acceptance of paternal responsibility is important, as are deep and committed relationships. He is the preserver of the natural world and its balances. The shamanic power of the adept may be indicated here, as well as a potential for powerful spiritual healing. This card may also speak of erotic energy, passion, and potent creativity.

As Promised

Here is the image. I apologize for the orientation -- have no tools on hand to rotate. Also, the signature in the lower right is not terribly visible. Not much I could do about that, just due to the contrast of the print itself.

This one I've seen before in a book about Angels. I believe this is a depiction of the levels of angels. The book is titled Angels. Of course it is actually elsewher too. Just where I remember seeing it.

Scan of my book pages

These are the pages I rec'd from Dale. They're readable but just barely. I still don't know the name of the book they came from but Enaxor has discovered the name of the first abbey, Vale Royal.

Sorry I cannot scan my pages, but if your pages are yellowed, then I can confirm the font and size are the same as my pages.

Brandon's mail

BrandonPrice,
the illustration is one of Gustav Dore's works for Dante's Divine Comedy. More particularly it is "The Saintly Throng in the Form of a Rose" for Canto 31 of the Paradiso.

I got Dale Mail yesterday!
(I hope these pics work cause I've never posted a file on here before)

It's a coin about 5cm in diameter with a small hole punched out at the top like for string to go through. The impression on the other side is just the reverse of the front, and the material is flexible, some sort of aluminum I think.
The envelope looks like it's the same as everyone elses. Marked April 7th, Kilmer P&DO, 08899.
There's a number 12 written on the front of the envelope, but I'm not sure if it could have been Dale or the post office that made it (it's in black pen while Dales is in green). How many were sent out and how many have been received?

I found this site: http://www.edgarlowen.com/cauction.html which has billions of images of coins, but haven't been able to find anything yet...any ideas?
