Do you suppose that after this is all done with, there will be some way that we'll be able to download the game? I'd hate to think that eventually the site is taken down and a game created for all of this is just tossed to the curb.

I doubt it, but who knows. As far as taking it down, I don't see that happening. Heck, the viral game from Project Abraham a few years back is still up and maddeningly frustrating...

talking to a friend right now about that...
he says that you could go to "File"
click "Save Page As..."
and that would allow you to save the game on your computer, and play it offline.
It probably wouldn't keep track of high scores or anything...

I will test this theory when the game is up, definitely.

Yeah that won't work if there's any server-side interaction or additional downloads after the initial load, etc.

Usually with campaigns like this either the source website will remain up, or it'll be archive somewhere generic where it can still be active. At worst, someone could offer to continue hosting if feasible. It's a shame these days when stuff like this disappears. I believe there was a virtual uproar when Last Call Poker was taken down too.

True, it would be cool if there was some kind of online ARG museum or something that could host game sites to keep them around... Hah, now there's an overly simplistic solution for an incredibly complex problem!
