Rolling Eyes
Please...
Everything that shows up there is after the fact, and tries desperately to tie other Abrams works into one. The shot at the top of the blog is taken from the bootleg trailer, not something I'd expect an official property to ever do.

"Find the crack"... 'crack' indeed. Sure seems somebody has their head up a crack.

I'm not attacking your logic at all but there is this picture which is of a famous post box near area 51 which was posted on the 6th. Just seems a little well, i dunno. just seems interesting.

Please bookmark the wiki, and visit that to find out what the latest known info is. If it gets bad, we'll add a quick reference Q&A page to answer people's common questions (like, this is Cloverfield 2! - no it's not! Razz) and such.

http://super8.wikibruce.com

We'll try to keep the latest videos active on the front page as well - if bootlegs are removed, we'll just link to another one. Once the trailer's released we'll get it up there.

The wiki's not for pure speculation, at least outside of the Talk pages, so let's keep it to the facts as much as possible.

And yeah, right now, there really is not a lot of stuff just yet.

When this goes to its own forum here, I'm sure there will be threads accomplishing the same thing, trying to reduce the noise...

OK I know that the 500 Rads blog has been thought to be OOG but take a looky at this http://cloverfieldmovieforums.com/showpost.php?p=636645&postcount=137

It's bogus. The same guy is posting on IMDB. He's just hit hunting.

Once again: 500 rad is not related, it's a gamejack fan fiction.
We had plenty of such pages in the Cloverfield-Age. And I've learnt the way to see, whether it's connected/IG or gamejack/OOG:

If the questioned blog is full of Hints, with names of JJ Abrams, Cloverfield, direct connections, screenshots from trailer, or even words like "viral" - this is 100% out of game.

Because virality has it's essense in subliminality. JJ Abrams denied connection of slusho.jp to Cloverfield till the movie started, and only after premiere they told it were part of viral campaign.

So please, forget all 500 rad blogs, or you can surely read them, it's just fan fiction of people, who want to be IG, but they just fail because of their desire to be IG.

Perhaps we should make a page at wiki like "OOG blogs" for further reference.

Let's avoid the situation we had at the neighbourg thread "What's in the box?", where authors of viral video used some LOST connections (because they were fans of LOST), and than all these connections were re-discovered again and again at the 100pages mammut thread.

So, short: if a page screams to you it were connected to the story, it is usually not. (Or the puppet master fails, which I hope won't be in the case of Super Cool Smile

RemoteView 2.7

RemoteView is a security camera, no? Anyone try anything with a webcam?

First, I should explain that my laptop is on it's last leg. I can't view flash nor video content properly; it's excruciatingly slow and choppy with the audio playing in advance of the images. Sad, right? Nope, not realy. It turns out to be an advantage in this case because I was able to see the below attachment and get a screenshot.
If you look for it on the bootleg trailer, don't rely on the counter in this screenshot. This comes after the steel is banged out and just before the letters appear in the lens.

I did scan through most of this thread before posting. If this is trout, I like mine drenched in butter, please. Smile

I flipped and rotated the image because that seems to be what was needed to read the letters "scariestthingieversaw".

To me it looks like (spoilered so you can decide for yourself)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ET emerging from the toppled train. There's an homage to Spielberg.

Double posting because I could only add one attachment per post.
Here's the original orientation for reference. (see attached)

Like what? My laptop has an embedded webcam and there was nothing extra available for it.

I'm quite sure it's actually software that allows you access to remote computers rather than a camera looking at the screen.

Also the fact you actually have to type things in would suggest software for access on other computers.

I believe it was mentioned before but the desktop suggests a VNC-like view into a Motif/AIX X-Windows desktop. The three icons are email (emacs), print (lprint), and either terminal or notepad (can't remember that one).

God...I'm dating myself. Wink
