I suppose, the movie will refer to many Spielberg movies, like "Close Encounters", "ET" or "Duel" (which came to my mind first, as I saw the duel between a truck and a train)

I'm btw. fascinated by this duo: Spielberg meets Abrams. This will rock.

Yes, people, I fear, it's bitter truth, but we can now do anything but wait till the countdown ends. I know, countdowns are most feared monsters, but this viral is commercial. And this means: no work at weekend for puppetmasters. Wink

Sadly, I think you're right. But in the mean time, is there any way we could get this moved to it's own forum? This is clearly developing into something big, so may as well get ahead and take the necessary actions to forumize this.

Speaking of pickups, I have taken a couple of screen caps. I think it might be a 4th generation Ford F Series which ran from 1961-1966.

Awesome captures guys!

The only obvious difference I see is the missing ladder/cab thing on the back.

Not sure if this should be read as anything more than a nod ... or a more direct link?

Should I go make a mashed potato mountain now?

Hey Automaton, chill out on the condescending attitude. you arent the God of Unfiction. I know it can be annoying when there are multiple and repeating posts but some people are new to this and dont exactly know how this all works. The only time i see you post is to denegrade someone or tell someone off about their posts. If you arent contributing something positive toward the forum , dont post at all. Or, as mama used to say, if you dont have something nice to say, then dont say anything at all. Not trying to start a fight here, we just dont need the negative attitude here. Thank you

hah, I never meant to sound condescending in my posts! If I did so, sorry? Razz
I don't see how I could've been interpreted as that though (I was replying to his queries after all)... I mean, I'm reminding people to check back as a general rule for those who don't know how this all works. That usually saves the most time.

I've been lurking Unfiction for years, I don't post much, but from all the time I've been here that's the best advice I can give anyone. Not here to ruffle feathers though bro.

Ok , no prolem. apologies accepted. U just kinda came off that way. Some people dont understand how this works right off the bat. If you didnt mean to come off that way then its cool, it just seemed kinda condescending. I apologize in return if that wasnt your intent. We just need to all play along nicely and ive seen little things blow up into large counterproductive arguments here before and was trying to head it off at the pass, so to speak.

If were gonna make mashed potato mountains im in lol

If anything, a nod.

Come now, the aliens in Close Encounters were "let's take your children on a field trip" nice, not "let's bust out of a shipping container screaming" mean.

Good point, Nighthawk - that rage-filled roar we're hearing at the end reminds me of "Mr. Grumpy-Pants" a lot more than any "Phone...home..." warble, that's for sure... Wink

Thanks Yiddleja...I finally got it to print..

what does it mean though...do you suppose there is some site where someone is posting info publicly about the Area 51 thingy and someone else is telling them to stop? If so...should we be looking for a website?

That's pretty much what I think. I have been trying different things with some of the code but so far nothing. All dead-ends. May have found the Official Facebook page though...

Not sure if this is legit or not but if it is it brings up Kosmopol's point of the "leaked" teaser being on purpose as they have it there as well.

... makes me feel we're missing something.

I've been going at that AF File Library for a huge chunk of the day, trying to see if there's a web site we missed. Imagine my surprise when a combination of "Sector CL56" turned up a train locomotive... a*TOY* train locomotive... lol.

Oh well... the hunt continues.

Photo of kid

Remember that screen of the boy in the trailer...
Somehow I think that is one of the teenagers that was filming the incident.. if they are filming it in the first place.

It'd be pretty sweet if it was all in Super 8 effects AND related to cloverfield.

Guys, I might as well point something out: the trailer said "NEXT SUMMER" ... that's over a year away ...

So don't be expecting this to have daily updates. Expect this to be a long, drawn out process very similar to what went on with Cloverfield. I mean, remember in that campaign how often (or inoften) we got a new picture on the 1/18 site?
