Im new to args so im not sure if this is the done thing. We have cracked codes for Gknova which acesquadransamps (X O) and Giovan Battista dont want us to have. Next time we should ask gknova for info we want, trading it for the info we have decripted. Please shut me down if this is not the done thing but maby we should act like real world. We work and get rewarded.

Even Giovan Battista recongnises we work for 'nova' so lets try to pull some of the PM's strings and see if we can work some info from him. Im not saying to go straight out and ask him what game this is (most likely cod:bo) but some info about the 'nova' project.

That is a really, really creative idea. I love it.

And I am in total agreement! Sometimes it just takes an extra set of eyes to see things a little "outside of the box" so to speak. Thanks Ham Sleyer!

agreed...
but if this is such a game that we have to do that...
maybe we should clean up our paper trail since we know the PMs stalk these forums...

Thanks guys. I came up with the idea last night while reading over past info. Gknova said our work had been noted but had it really? Will we be rewarded? Now we can assure it.

We need to get everybody else on board. Can you american guys make sure the others know, so they dont spill the beans before we make an aggrement with gknova. Im never online when the majority are, as im in Australia. We, at unfiction, also need to solve the next set of clues befor our main competition CoDz so they dont hand over the info to gknova prematurely.

Creativity is wonderful in ARG's and finding new ways to interact with the PM's is part of the fun. (For example, I sent all 3 characters mother's day eCards with instructions to forward them to their mother's if they are not mothers themselves.) And I definitely think it's something we've been lacking in this game. However, the PM's have only replied to 2 emails, they seem to prefer the public responses like on google groups, but even there it's at a minimum compared to other games I've played.

This is the kind of thing you can't really pull off for a number of reasons. First they're called the Puppet Master's for a reason. This is their game they make the rules and determine the course of the game, if they don't want to give us information they won't. Second, the only plausible way to do this is to make sure no one posts the info we uncover and obviously that's impossible if we're collaborating on it. And again the PM's would have to go along with it.

I may be misinterpreting your intent, if all you intended was emailing Nova and asking for information while providing the latest discovery then I would be all for that, it's a great idea. (And not holding it in ransom for information.)

Lastly, I'm not sure this will even be relevant anymore as I suspect the game will be changing drastically soon. There is no 6th "station" will there even be a 6th transmission? Or will it change to a login/password and Nova will "test" us with a puzzle to see if we're ready to join his organization? Just an idea. Anyway, this has been a great game so far, the relatively anticlimactic puzzle solves and a rather low level of interactivity aside.

(On another note, if anyone's interested, Nova read his Mother's Day card at 3:00AM EST last night, obviously on the west coast, or an insomniac.)

ETA: With your newest post I see that I did not misunderstand your intent, unfortunately what you propose will not work. At all. It could even backfire.

ETA2: I'd love to hear Nighthawk's take on this as someone with a good deal of PM experience.

Azure, didn't you consider my feelings before that post? I'm grasping for straws here and Ham's seemed like a great one! Now my feelings are all hurt and stuff lol.... Sad

Ill take your word azure but i think i said interact with the pm. What i meant was to interact with his charcater. The pm may trawl through this forum and see exactly how we decrypt the codes and whatnot but the character shouldn't, well thats my understanding of the pm/character relationship. Perphaps im slighly confused about what exactly the pm is. If im wrong i would recomend somebody edits the wikipedia page on arg's. (I was doing research). My understanding is that the pm is the real world person setting out these tasks. He already has the info that we decrypt, and has no need to trade 'info' with us. As i said im completly new to arg's and im really surprised that something so big exsisted. Would have never of thought of it.
And sorry for the long post. Im home sick and daytime tv sucks. And i cant be bothered to spell properly. Sorry again.

No need for apologies. You didn't do anything wrong. Brainstorming, throwing out ideas, well that's never really wrong. You may get trouted once in a while if you don't do your homework well, but that is not the case here.

I don't think I explained very well either. Hopefully Nighthawk or someone with more ARG experience than me can pick up the slack here.

PM's pull the strings. Think of the character's as puppets and the PM's as the one's making them dance, that's exactly how it works in my understanding.

Hmm....anyways im not too worried. What i am worring about is when is the reveal coming? This has been great but im still wondering whats it all about.
We've got:
Reactive Elements
Some Bio warfare gasses
Several conspiracys
Really old, dead Cryptologist
Freemassons
Cabals
A cat
Tourture
CIA
And some other random shizz
Yet we are still clueless (pretty much)

ps feel free to add to fill time until gknova is updated

Haha sorry dude umm how about "some stuff i can remember and probably not important"
I still want to know how they could possibly be all conected into a story line, which is probably for zombies in cod:bo. Its gonna be one hell of a ride when the reveal and game happens. Rock On

Sorry double post but this one is much more relevant than the other. Just looking over the info CoDz has on the last zombie map here: http://callofdutyzombies.com/home/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=78&Itemid=100 and under the drop down title of 'Der Riese' im quite convinced that this is for the new zombies. This all seems very similar to gknova. On the above link down the bottom there is a telegram sent in 1944 the same year as the latest report we decyphed was sent. Look around and look for anything else that link the two.

I cant see that any of this is random as they've told us:

    Its Treyarch
    NOVA6 focusses on scientific experimentation
COD BO is set in the cold war period
During the cold war period an Illuminati conspiracy was born out of Nazi Germany science.
They (the story line writers) are aware of MKUltra, Masonic Rites, Project PaperClip and Project Majestic.

If you transpose this over what we know about the probable roots of COD Zombies ( Nazi Project, Group 935, Richtoffens links with the Illuminati etc ) you have a nice storyline arc that will allow Treyarch to develop the "Tower Defence" element of the game ...which we know as Zombies.

I think the big suprise will be the expansion of the zombies /tower defence element into something a bit deeper/more varied..

If you read this article http://www.jessesnyder.org/trenches/?p=42 it gives an insight into the origin Nazi Zombies.

Apparently the mini game was nearly not included, zombies were created by someone saying the dazed jap troops in the SP looked like zombies and there was no grand plan/formal backstory.

Obviously Treyarch realised that the community loved Zombies so they set about "patching" a backstory and eventually came up with Der Riese which really gave us our first glimpse of WTF was going on.

I dont think Treyarch can make the basic Zombies/Crawlers/Dogs/Perks/Teleporters combo much more interesting than they did in Der Riese so I guess they'll be incorporating it into wider story which may see the same tower defence element , but with additional protagonsists on top of the basic Zombies we've grown to love...

The Nazi Occult science/Illuminati/Cold War/NWO story has been used as a backdrop/basis of so many fantasy works it's not even funny ( Marvel/DC comic characters, Hellboy, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Wolfenstein, etc etc...) the potential source material is virtually unlimited....

Treyarch arent stupid and Iphone zombies will provide them with a multi million dollar reason to really expand the idea so I expect to see various tower defence scenarios utilising more advanced Zombies/Undead/Iradiated/Mind Controlled protagonists interwoven into the conventional SP/MP environments of the cold war..
