You think this is Cloverfield 2? READ THIS FIRST!

Hey all,

With a new JJ Abrams project launching next summer speculations are already flying around that this might be Cloverfield 2. Alas, it is not.

But don't take my word for it. Here are a few clues that the two films are not related:

- Article on Variety stating that Super 8 is not Cloverfield 2 but it's actually an original idea.

- Article on /Film with details about the project. Note that they also confirm it's not related to Cloverfield and it will not be shot as a "candit" perspective film.

And to hear it from the man himself:

- Interview of JJ Abrams with New York Magazine with a direct quote that this is not Cloverfield 2.

So hopefully you have taken the time to read this and clicked on the links. Don't get me wrong, I love Cloverfield as much as the next fan. I was even jumping for joy when the TV series "FlashForward" mentioned Oceanic Airlines hoping for a Lost 2. But FF has nothing to do with Lost and Super 8 has nothing to do with Cloverfield.

Hey, don't let this bum you out. I am sure Super 8 will be an amazing experience all on its own. So let the games begin! Smile
