I sincerely hope this isn't about zombies. Zombies can be fun, and scary (rarely), but they are waaaaaaaaaay over done in current media. I think the scariest zombies I can think of were the old black and white movies.

Blah to zombies.

ETA: Keep zombies where they belong, in Resident Evil and Left for Dead.

Well another thing I don't understand is why so many people keep posting here in this thread about how (& with sort of an aggravated tone) that "they're sure it's for this, they're sure it's for that"....

Why do the good people here at unfiction need convincing either way, what's the point? I thought the purpose of unFiction (and especially threads like this) is to create a place to collectively participate in and discuss arg's, regardless of the game's marketed product, that's why I joined at least. Some seem to actually be offended that others don't think gknova's about "their game".

I know I'm new here but is this commonplace during arg's like this?

But that's really starting to be the problem here. As far as ARGs go, all of the solves we've gotten so far have some mild correlation but no storyline to make them into useful/interesting information. We've got practically zero plot, and only a negligible amount of character interaction. So unless they change something up, this really could have been classified a Timewaster instead of Chaotic Fiction.

O/T: What, seriously? Come on now. All you had to do was walk at a brisk pace and those guys would never get you. Razz
Then again, I like my zombies more comedic than scary. Zombieland = <3

Yes and no, it depends on the ARG and the audience it caters to. Notice how 99% of the people posting zomg thiz iz for ******* are either guests or have fewer than 20 posts? The ARG I originally played, that brought me to Unfiction was about vampires, and given that ARG's pretend to be real, it caught the attention of a whole forum of people who actually believed they were vampires. Kinda drove me nuts. Thankfully only one or two ever posted on this board, but they did overrun the IG forum and completely ruined the game, for me at least.

I loved Shaun of the Dead. Unfortunately for me, no one else in my social circle did lol. And I was referring more to atmosphere than actual fear. Seriously, why would anyone ever be afraid of zombies in real life. If I ever saw a zombie, my biggest fear would be my sanity.

Have you played COD WOW Zombies Azure??? if not it's very addicitve and is different to alot of current video games out there as it combines the old fashioned, addicitve simplicity of early video games with the MP/CO-OP element of modern gaming.

Zombies isnt scary as in "BOO!!!" scary...theres just something compelling about battling with your comrades in an ulitamately un-winnable scenario...the fear is more in the impending sense of being over-run.

I dont think the GKNOVA riddle is purely for Zombies, as it fits with a general "Back Op's" storyline, but I think it's safe to say that Treyarch will be drawing on the Zombie backstory for whatever tower defence element they build into Black Ops.

I'm not trying to convince anyone ...I just wanted to highlight that if you are a COD zombies fan it all fits together sufficiently to make you want to play it... Cheers

Edit: I also understand your point about how it has brought people like me (video gamers) together with people who do something that I'd never heard about before...ARG.

It is kind of ironic that both parties could be spending time solving riddles on subject matter that neither parties may ulitmatley be interested in but I guess that goes with the territory....

I noticed this too but didnt say anything because i wasnt sure. Has anyone looked into this?

edit: Also, yes I am very new to ARGs. I played along with the Cloverfield without actually making an account on here and just read what you guys had uncovered periodically. Did the thinking on my own and just remained independant. Now I'd love to come in and help and contribute. I've been following GKNova6 and are just now posting. Can't wait to be a part of the action (if theres any left).

I've been on the CoDz forums and i would most definitely expect them to provoke the PM into getting more information.

The .rar file

So i see that you guys have been getting a little bit off topic. =P
I figured i would try and get you back on topic by asking for the p/w for that .rar file.
Has anyone found it yet?
And if not has anyone opened it without the p/w?
I downloaded a program that runs through every every possible p/w, i have been running it for a few hours but still nothing. Sad
Hopefully by tonight i might get something, although it could take a while because i set it to min. p/w length = 1 and max. p/w length = 127 with the variables set to every possible key. Confused
it would probably be a few days by my guess.

Oh dear, you really need to keep up, we solved that a while ago!

Here's a link to a copy of the full document I typed up - this is pretty much as close as it gets to the original Razz

I believe that EOM is End of Message, not End of May.

EOM is at the end of the message on Azure's Flickr page and the email that Bender6 received.

...I don't believe it. I'm gone for a few days, and not only does my "33" post end up leading somewhere, but about 20 new pages get added to the thread! Unbelievable!
