Facebook Post

This was just posted on facebook from triple j (a radio station governed by ABC)..

triple j: check out the new ABC alternate reality game: BLUEBIRD. A fictional scenario that plays out against a backdrop of real world activity, it's better than a TV drama because you can just watch the action as it happens, or you can get involved... check the link to find more.

Another meta annoucement:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jamais Cascio, futurist and somewhat of a geoengineering guru has recently posted that he was brought on to the game as an advisor and writer. He says: "If the script for the official Bluebird video above sounds familiar, it should -- I wrote it"
The rest is here, on his blog: http://www.openthefuture.com/2010/05/rogue_geoengineering_project_u.html

Haha, I was right!
I was watching last weeks episode of Good Game (an ABC show - by gamers, for gamers) and the Torchlight review is interrupted midway by Vandercamp 'hacking' the show. He's sitting in front of a backdrop with what looks to be the Go Bluebird logo on it, as if in a press conference. He says:
Quote:
I think I'm party to a crime in progress, and it will affect us all if it goes ahead. Let me explain my dilemma. Umm... I've been working for a privately funded laboratory specifically researching geo-engineering solutions. "What's geo-engineering?"...

The video fizzles back into the episode, with the hosts looking around going 'Huh, that was weird...". I immediately thought to myself "this has to be some kind of ARG... so I jumped online to do some research, found Vandercamp's blog, the Go Bluebird website and eventually wound up here.

Looks to be an interesting, I'll have a looksee at the latest episode as soon as it finishes downloading. I'll tag along for the ride Very Happy

ETA: The video is up here. To get to it, wait until the player loads then click on the STREAM link next to Episode 11, and scroll down in the player to the Torchlight review. It's 1:45 in.
