It actually seems to be running a little snappier for me. Almost as if they did some optimization of the SWF to make it run better.

Other people on other sites are reporting issues as well.

And just like that it starts working for me again, it's kinda slow but for the majority of the day I was getting "Internet Explorer can't find the webpage" blah blah blah, with no other web problems at all. Now, just like somebody turned on a damn switch or something, it's working again....

Not that I'm trying to be difficult, but what exactly is the problem? I imagine they have a timetable to adhere to to ensure that the game isn't solved too quickly?

Well let me ask you, where's the fun in the game now? I'm new to ARG's so is this common in ARG's or viral marketing campaigns or was this unique? Look at the first couple of pages on this topic and notice the excitement. Hasn't the mood changed?

I came into this solely looking and anticipating answers for COD:BO. I thought the letters spelling TREYARCH and the numbers 2010:3:2 that were in the trailer and the ARG sealed the deal for me so I continued pursuing answers but only more feverishly. You can probably say I'm frustrated now because no information has yet been released about COD:BO but then what was the point? When is it ever fun spending a lot of time on something and not being rewarded, especially when you're anticipating it? It could be my fault for waiting for that info and expecting it, but the drop in interest on the internet should be an indicator I'm not alone.

As for the timetable of release, we had somewhat of a timetable and organization before with the transmissions and could at least guess when a new transmission was coming. Now we're left in the dark. Sloppy.

The inconsistencies also threw me off. The change of the dial on the tv? The enhancement of audio? The brute forced image they could have easily been hidden or altered for the end? The realization they forgot the password login at the end or it wasn't working properly?

Regardless I gotta say I loved this ARG at the beginning. But after reading through all the secret documents, searching and sleuthing I gotta say the people on this forum could have come up with a much, much better ARG. Some of the ideas that were thrown around on here I truly believe were way better and I wished they could've been true. There was a lot of potential for this ARG and the way it's coming to an end is disappointing. Of course the question of is it really ending is always there, but my attention span isn't.

If this truly is a viral marketing campaign for COD it has failed. I now care more about and have more invested interest in the game Singularity and the Unifiction and CODZ forums then COD:BO itself.

And props to AzureWolf and PerdíElJuego/fgsfds you guys are BEASTS!!!!!

edit- need to add a little more lol

Consciously you have to agree it's nearing an end or that's at least what the assumption was at the beginning. You have to crack 5 transmissions and something should make sense at the end. We went to six with a password protected login and still nothing. Isn't that disheartening? Or are we the same guy in the chair staring at the tv screens who was probably tricked into this predicament?

Without looking at the source code of the page I'd guess it's either a cookie you recieve on initially entering the password which then grants you ongoing access or they are logging IP's and once you've entered the PW it remembers you.

Suspect its a cookie.

Ehh don't agree with you there buddy. Why would the source code tell you anything? It's a flash movie.

Plus why would they go to ALLLL the trouble of making a script that takes a number (that you say is a cookie) and have it injected into a flash movie?

I think you're wrong, and its probably another code.

well an easy test of that would be to clear your cookies and try again.

I think there's some confusion going on, I don't think JOOLZ was implying the numbers on the screens came from a cookie, though it does sound that way. I think instead he was saying the site uses cookies to remember the password you entered.

Clearing your cookies wouldn't work as then you'd have to enter the password again and create a new cookie Smile

Agree we are all pretty frustrated, confused, losing our attention spans and that this arg is unique is all of these aspects....
