 		I totally figured out what is ACTUALLY in that frame, and it's not Cthulhu. I tweaked the levels and contrast, and look what showed up!

6=VI
4=IV
2=II
5=V

Thus VI-IV-II-V or, VIIVIIV (for short).
All the digging I did and all I can find is a DeathRock band from the Philippines.

On a side-note [OT] ...
Someone posted something about a "Squished" Mantis.
It doesn't look squished in the pictures.

 		So was just wondering if there is any significance that the HD video is on apple.com and apple.com only (I couldn't find another version anywhere)

In the Mystery Box TED video, Abrams mentions that he loves apple. I wonder just how much of the TED Conference podcast video is just Abrams being aloof and mysterious and how much of it contains clues.

 		Face in the Filler
hey. First time posting for anything like this. I was looking at the .gif of the filler stuff and pulled a different possible face. It's in three frames (16, 20 and 22 of the gif). Here's it, circled once, edited brightness/contrast once, and the frames from the gif.

EDIT: Potentially supporting this, these frames are from the flicker right after the text "It Arrives" @ 1:13.

That's Euchre's point, you don't separate digits in Roman Numerals. And if you did, you would get a pattern 90% of the time because 90% of the numbers less than 10 are made with an I, V, or a combination of the 2. If your theory is correct how would you represent a 0?

 		Folks.. Lets remember that the film hasnt been shot yet..and the last thing to be incorporated into a film are the SFX, which means there have been no special effects monsters created yet for this trailer.... if JJ's method of filming is the same as it was for Cloverfield, the trailer was shot with no script and we tried then to make monsters out of smoke.. Filming on this flick is set to begin in the fall..

In short, dont waste too much time looking for the creature in the trailer.. It probably hasnt been created yet.

 		It may have been posted before. This site looks familiar but here is a lit of train stations by Ohio county.

Click on a link to a county to bring up a list of station and then scroll down to see a map of railways in the county. I've checked Summit and Portage for a bit.

Might help us pinpoint location of the derailment (assuming the derailment happened in the same county as that the truck was registered).

Fully agree!
Perhaps they do it like they did it at LOST (well, not always, but sometimes):
first show, and then think, how they can explain things Smile
And I like this way. It's creative, unlike the most other TV productions nowaday ("How to make more money with our TV show").

JJ Abrams and his team is really awesome and they incorporate my hope in clever future of entertainment.

 		The thing that sort of conflicts with the Abrams method of design is that Spielberg likes to keep his canon straight and cohesive. They are opposing styles, so Super 8 may not be quite so 'retroactively resolved' as Abrams' other works tend to be.

 		Possibly those numbers on the pole will be some kind of password to access the sectors loaded when they reach 20..Its the only other place we have to look to help activate whatever is next when all 20 sectors are finished. Being top secret government data, I would expect some kind of passcode needed to access the data.. Perhaps this is it.. perhaps not since it was so easily found already by all..

They're actually called Geoditic Survey Markers and they are in fact used to pinpoint locations by not only surveyors but map makers and in Geochache hunts

ETA: Ok played around with it for a while. I think we're on the right track but not quite sure how to use it to find the actual location.
