Buttons for Achievements

So, I've been thinking. The round icons for each achievement are the perfect size for buttons. There's a place here in Chicago that does up some great ones, and even in quantity of 100, they're only $35 a batch for color ones a 1.25 inches in diameter (round).

Now, I'd be game to do them, but a) I might see if I can hit up 42 for the source art (if not, we're gonna have to use our vector-fu to get some decent images), and b) what should we put them on? Anyone on here crafty enough to be thinking about like a circuit cloth bandolier or something?

I think we should do the buttons either way. Anyone game to help me out a bit with the art? I'm not bad with The Gimp/Inkscape, but if we've got some artists out there, I wouldn't mind the help.

Considering how FL is a pretty freeform organization, I don't think some specific uniform would be necessary for how we wear said button badges. I think just having them would be cool, and most people that would sport such things would likely wear them on hats, jackets, backpacks, and who knows what. Seems like a gamer-culture genuine way to go to me.

You might want to email the ZackAttack addy with your request for badge images to use, and ask in an IG sort of way to be allowed to make them.

I could help out with the art if you need it. Also, check out Pure Buttons, they are about $10 cheaper than what you listed for the same quantities.

Dude, that sounds so legit. I'd love to get some achievement buttons.

Cool, and we can do 50 quantity instead of 100 if we need to.

I'm gonna pull some designs together, and we can do a test run with a single achievement to see how it looks.

Also, the bandolier was just an idea. Not that everyone had to have one, but even now, this is a LOT of different buttons. Would be cool to give someone the option of something Tron-related to display them.

Hey guys,

Euchre had an idea for some cellphone wallpapers and I helped him make it happen. I created 4 wallpapers (all Euchre's ideas!) at 240x320 resolution:

1.) An 89 wallpaper with Sam's logo, in black and white, on black for the folks that like it nice and simple.

2.) An 89 wallpaper with a recreation of Sam's Avatar from FL (my personal fave)

3.) An Encom wallpaper with the tilted E and the grid from their site recreated in the background.

4.) An Encom wallpaper with the full Encom logo, in white for readability purposes, on the same grid background.

The idea was that those of you lucky enough to go RL events can upload the appropriate wallpaper onto your phone and impress the PM's and other ARG folks.

Hope you guys like them, let me know if you need other dimensions as it's all vector based and easily scalable.

Thanks for all of your hard work here FSURobbie.
I love the glowing blue 89 wallpaper you made.

I am still waiting for my pins, stickers and other stuff to arrive. I completed everything but killing the recognizers was almost a week late due to bad/No internet due to crappy centralink service. If you can avoid them, DO IT!

So I was reading about your buttons idea, and then all that talk of boyscout badges, and it got me thinking, I bet I could make patches. If I could figure out a way to upload a basic image to an embroidery machine... I could program it to sew the image onto probably a canvas type material, then just attach stitch witch or something like it to the back and viola, a patch. Those you could attach to a jacket or bag or something with relative permanentability. Just a thought.

Give it a go and see what comes out. Would have ot keep the badge/patch size kinda small though so current image resolution woulnd't muddy things up too badly I suppose.
