I'm not sure if anyone has caught this but, when checking out

http://super8.wikibruce.com/Scariestthingieversaw.com

I noticed that at the very start of the program, the word "Furnished" is misspelled "Furniched".

On my remote panel it loads up with the word spelled correctly.

what if the puzzle from the newspaper is some kind of a route, which can be applied to the actual map? we may check saturn + minot via google also.

I got a squiggly line...Not shaped like anything no matter how I turn the page.

I think all this gave us was a website that is closed.

Yes, it is "Closed" right now, up it will open when its 2, 4, or 6 am according to the newspaper. The stores close at 10, so i think its going to be back up in the morning

There is a second way to solve the maze, maybe it is used as a poppeteer "selection" tool

I'm confused. I thought that was a screenshot? How did you change the spelling of words in the panel readout?

So, after all that waiting for it to load, is this all we have to get from the PDP-11?

It is possible, but I think as more things come out, we will find an answer for "Device?" and that will unlock more info/files to view.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of alleged Capt. "Coop" Cooper's launch into space. Perhaps a new revelation will be made? Site revealed?

I think you may have something here dude. Could be a coincidence, but we'll see tomorrow. Could be when the rocket poppeteers site launches.

starts.com

Hey guys,

bit of a noob here, but followed along with Cloverfield, and caught this trailer online yesterday so thought I'd drop something in.

After playing around on the Scariest website, one of the first lines that appears on start up of the sim is starts.com - if you head over to this website, it's hosted by godaddy.com which I know popped up quite a bit in the Clover viral. Currently just has a list of recent world news, but could it be connected somehow?

Thanks

"Allowed" isn't the right word for it.

It's bad form because it circumvents the chain of events the PMs had planned for their game. And many of us (including myself) have been chastized for doing it by the PMs themselves because they don't like it for that reason.

When I decompile, I personally do it for exploratory reasons and to verify that there's nothing else to be found. If I do find something through decompilation that is revealing, I personally do not reveal it until either (a) I can find it through traditional means, or (b) it has already been revealed.

For example, I could verify that the "PRINT" command to print the flyer was the only valid command and that the flyer images were in the Flash file, but I personally would have not posted those flyers until the proper method to access them had been revealed.

If I may ask, what program do you use to decompile? I tried a website called "showmycode.com", but it didn't work when I entered the "http://www.scariestthingieversaw.com/" url. Sorry I'm a n00b to ARG's, but I'm already addicted lol

J.J. Abrams himself said they were not connected, but since this is an Abrams movie it is not surprising for him to use similar hosts.

Funny tidbit, I doubt it means anything but when you look at the ad for Rocket Poppeteers it looks like an alien is hiding just to the left of the helmet Captain "Coop" Cooper is holding. Might be me just projecting but it looks like it to me.

I wonder if blocking out the quote from Khrushchev has anything to do with this:

USSR Planned Nuclear Attack on China. (Happened in 1969)

I don't speak Russian, so I can't search for the translated quote very well.

Babelfish gives this "ΠΎΡΡ‚Π°Π²ΡˆΠΈΠΉΡΡ Π² ΠΆΠΈΠ²Ρ‹Ρ… ΠΏΠΎΠ·Π°Π²ΠΈΠ΄ΠΎΠ²Π°Π»ΠΈ Π±Ρ‹ ΡƒΠΌΠ΅Ρ€ΡˆΠΈΠΌ" which im sure is not correct.

edit: The timeline doesn't work, though. If the JFK speech was 1963 and the row between Russia and China was in 1969...

Actually β€œΠžΡΡ‚Π°Π²ΡˆΠΈΠ΅ΡΡ Π² ΠΆΠΈΠ²Ρ‹Ρ… ΠΏΠΎΠ·Π°Π²ΠΈΠ΄ΡƒΡŽΡ‚ ΡƒΠΌΠ΅Ρ€ΡˆΠΈΠΌβ€, but nothig find this phrase

Sorry, I didn't mean that man, I know Super 8 isn't connected with Clover, what I meant is that starts.com could be connected with this viral campaign. It wouldn't be out of the question for JJ to use the same company!
