Hey guys this is my first arg. I actually had never heard of the term "arg" (though I had heard talk of interactive online puzzles of some sort). Anyway, after falling in love with Cloverfield & Lost & Fringe, I was estatic when I saw the Super 8 trailer before Iron Man 2. I did some searching online, discovered what an "arg" was, was referred to this site & now I'm ready to contribute.

I'm on youtube & a few other sites, you can google my username if you wanna stalk me lol I use the same username wherever I sign up. I might end up making vids following the progress of this arg. That might be fun Smile

I do the same thing! I'm in the process of getting people involved. Going to upload a video and post it to my social networking sites. =]

hey everyone,

I'm th30p3rat0r, and I've been around since I love bees way back when. I'm a computer engineer, working in the depths of the financial world Neutral

Since then I've mainly lurked, but have been involved in:
    I Love Bees (halo2)
    Sable&Shuck
    OurColony (xbox360)
    Iris (halo3)
    1-18-08 (CloverField)
    Dark Knight Very Happy
    Flynn LIves (Tron Legacy)

I'm in Toronto, and most recently have been involved with Flynn Lives (and am loving it).Have fun, looking forward to see how this one develops.
Glad to see everyone!

Hey guys, I'm Zodiac. Well, as you can see I discovered this site with the whole Super 8 thing. Really excited. I won't be much of a help in terms of analyzing frames or finding crytpic messages or interpreting HTML, but I am really well versed in Area 51, Greys, and many other paranormal incidents.

I can see this becoming useful, as the movie is about Aliens and Area 51.

Hello All, My names not important >.> <.<, you weren't followed were you? Anyways, i've come to say my greetings.

Names change over the years, but while i was last here for Cloverfield, i went by this name, Colt.

I was kinda surprised to log in and find i had 300+ posts while Cloverfield was going on, considering posting isn't something i do a lot of, so you probably won't see much of me, but i will join in if need be.

Favorite German word? Well, my old German teacher was showing off some home videos of him in Germany, his wife was watching a farmer put manure on the field, she described that it was a lot of **it, so if you can guess, that's my favorite word.... i won't spell it, even if i knew how, gonna be kind to the Germans here, plus i look up to Kos....

I favor Japanese words over German tho, since it's been years since German studies in high school, my favorite Japanese word is Baka.

Edit: I'm here cause of JJ... he sure knows how to draw a crowd....

Howdy

Hey guys,

I got into the 1-18-08/Cloverfield ARG WAAAYY too late. It was my first ARG and just reading and following along was pretty fun. I was pretty into it around the time the DVD came out, posting on here under the name "Soylent Green".

Pretty psyched to be here from the beginning. It's already shaping up to be pretty sweet.

As for my favorite German word...hmm...I lived in Germany for 3 years but I can't remember a lick of the language.
I do remember the phrase "die Sau rauslassen" which means to "let the pig out"

I was a lurker during the Cloverfield ARG. I decided to join and post for the Super 8 ARG. I am looking forward to this game!

I am sending my Rocket Poppeteers coupon in...my astronaut name is "Dr. Lady."

Very Happy

first, SORRY FOR OVERQUOTAGE.
second, sorry for caps. =]

It is mostly a teaser for the movie, with links and such, and a short glimpse of what we've seen so far. I'll be doing a video later this week talking about the arg, so... yeah. Here it is, anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsySiGIdsGo

Thats how i was when the Cloverfield thing started. I was just a lurker. i said i wasnt gonna start an account. then i did. said i wasnt gonna post , then i did, cause i didnt agree with something that i saw. figured i would only post a few things, now here i am with 500 + posts . Its funny how quickly you can get sucked into these things. and how all consuming they can become. im so ready for Super 8. i always come into these things a few weeks or a month late. first time ive been here from the beginning .

Mr.Frost

Hello all,

I'm Frost, I own a small (I'm always looking for help) and very neglected gaming/entertainment community.

I guess I'm just a "run of the mill" Sci-fi/Monster/Alien/Spaceship nut. I found these forums thru the clover/super8 grapevine.

I can't say I'm into ARG's or Fan stuff really. As a matter of fact, although some are awesome, I can't stand fan made "Official" movie trailers. Some look so cool, only to piss you off cause they're not real.

I do like the whole "Viral Marketing" thing, and how complicated and involved it has gotten.

The only viral marketing I was ever aware of, were those cool videos of "Giants" being unearthed and washing up during the "Shadow of the Colossus" video game release.

I'm looking forward to not sleeping for the next year til Super8 comes out.

Frost
