 		My Google Search
When I entered the coupon address, I ended up in Newburg, ND based on the zipcode. One photo popped up of Newburg High School. Look at the roof of the building in the center. Also there is mad resolution on this image, not your typical google map submitted image size. I went on to look at most of the photos in the surrounding areas and have found nothing else, but cmon, that TOTALLY looks like a creepy gray chillin on the roof.

well on the Google maps first person view of the school the gray thing is not there and the factory in the back ground is not there as well...but the person who took the pictures does have high quality pic of other places...so i would say its just odd but not important..but who knows

 		I haven't invested the time to really look into this much, but have we considered the possibility that the Rocket Poppeteers site image is being used to hide information? I know that .gif files are fairly common in steganography.

Granted it is titled "temp.gif" so I'm sort of doubting that they've hidden anything in the slack space, but if we don't get an update to the site in the next couple days it may be worth looking into.

I'm at work at the moment, otherwise I'd grab a copy of S-Tools and have a whack at it right now for giggles. Maybe if nothing's turned up when I get home in the morning, I'll take a stab at it.

new to arg, tried to play cloverfield but got too tired...holy crap i just looked at the clock on my computer, it's 5:24 am. This is not conducive to maintaining job and school...anyway my brother thinks that there is something hidden in the second page besides the sharpie message. apparently if you cut out the coupon and keep the pages as they are for the sharpie message highlights 'Under Secretary warned...' he's still trying to find out if there's more, i think he's just reading into things but, meh...it's 5:24 in the morning, i'm supposed to be up in an hour, grrr...

So I had a bit of free time and ran the temp.gif file through a couple of tools to see if I could dig anything out of it. My knowledge of steganalysis is a bit limited, but from what I can tell there's nothing embedded. Big surprise, right?

For those interested, I first ran the image through the Digital Invisible Ink Toolkit to do an analysis on least significant bits. That was fairly inconclusive (though not really promising), so I fired up S-Tools and shotgunned it with a bunch of possible passphrases (Coop, AF-B4, Bonham, RSCOM8, and some other phrases that seemed likely) using the IDEA, DES, Triple DES, and MDC algorithms. Nada there, as well.

I think this is, after all, a legitimately clean .gif image. But it was fun to obsess over it for a couple hours.

Your brother is right, but that was discoverd about 30 min. after we found the pics. I don't remember the exact words, but if you hold them back to back it was something like "no certainty if alive, it may come after us, we go underground". There has been some debate as to the order of the found words in the sentence

 		One question. Why is the Rocket Poppeteers logo about 2/3 of the screen? If you highlight it, you can see that it is just a square in the middle. It's probably nothing, but I just thought it was weird. *shrug* I'll be back on in the afternoon.
