This maybe a stretch... but maybe moon phases come into play on when the site might open? I think the site is a waning crescent? So maybe it will open during the next waning crescent which i think is the 21st or 22nd?

If the moon is part of the clues, phases and occurences would be just fine with me, 2 eclipses this year, and plenty of galactic alignments going on, maybe some of the new sites will drop on some of the dates. Don't know if I can wait till June 26 or December 21st, but what the hell, still have a year or more till opening.
(And the Poppeteers site img looks a little like an eclipse, with the child holding the Pop in front of his eyes to lessen the glare.)

I totally failed at coming up with a cool astronaut name. I was actually pretty disappointed with myself... Embarassed

Astronaut Names

Hulu or YouTube some old ditties like Commander Cody, Flash Gordon, or Republic Serials. Some great names for your astronaut applications. Smile

IG or OOG?

Was scanning through my Poppeteers clipping, and to the right of the article on Kennedy/Krushchev, there are smaller article boxes. Read the Caps from top to bottom, and searched SSBGL FMT. Came up with a page that re-dericts to an NASA file.
http://starbrite.jpl.nasa.gov/prod?object=PDS.CN.Product&keywordQuery=OFSN+%3D/data/mgn-v-rdrs-5-midr-c2-v1.0/mg_0125/f10s144/ff52.img+AND+RETURN_TYPE+%3D+RAW

Anyone make any sense of this?

I'm not exactly sure how to open that type of file. Confused

I had a look at some maps of the moon to see if there were any craters of comparable size and position to the largest one you can see on the moon in the Poppeteers picture. The only crater that really matches up is the Hertzsprung crater on the far side of the moon, and only if you rotate the map of the moon 180 degrees clockwise. For some reason, I can't attach a copy of the map I'm using, but you can find it here: http://cseligman.com/text/moons/moonfar.htm

Here's some information about the crater, too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hertzsprung_(crater) and the guy it was named after: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ejnar_Hertzsprung

SSBGL and FMT come up in separate places from each other in there, I don't think it is relevant. Must have been a fluke. =\

Hey, everyone.
I saw someone speculating about the 22 stars on the site logo.
The first page of the printed papers has 22 stars too, so I decided to point this here, although I don`t believe this will be much helpful hehe Smile
