Gee, does this sound familiar?

I lost a bet there... Took longer than I had guessed for that to be brought up here.

anyone notice the weird spacing on the articles in some places there's just one space between two words in others there are more, the white lines mean everything.....

Printed newspapers and printed books sometimes use xtra spacing to keep the borders even when printing. It's extremely coomon and don't think it would be important here. Could be wrong though.

PDP-11 User

I had the STIES website up, and the guy next to me at work notices the PDP-11 title. Apparently he used to work on one!

PM me if you have any questions you want me to ask him.

LockNLoad I do hope you didn't mean to suggest that first part of your post hadn't been found yet. If you did, I've got a fish ready for you.

"DEVICE" page and HotKeys!

First off: You DON'T have to type .PRINT RSCOM8 to get to the DEVICE screen.
Once you get the prompt, simply enter .REENTER.

I was looking at a PDP-11 SIM manual and noticed a chapter about "ERRORS."

Quote:
If a known Device will not open, the user should use "CTRL+E" and then enter "Q" at the prompt. ... This will "query" all working Devices and generate a list.
Choose your device from the list.

Well, I tried this, but no list was generated Sad
Since no LIST was exposed, I believe no Device is "attached" as of yet.

However, I decided to try some known HotKeys!
Some did odd things, but "CTRL+R" revealed little YELLOW boxes!!
(One at each press)

At first I was stumped, but then I figured out the pattern:
Each press of the HotKey would highlight a "clickable" element within the Flash Document.
Below are the screen shots I've taken, with each CLICK explained.

(I'll be trying different combos of HotKeys tonight!)

The yellow boxes were found awhile ago. In an .SWF file you can TAB through all of the clickable items on the screen.

Somehow I missed that.

I think, once a Device is attached, the HotKey for the device list will work.
Will we be seeing more than one Device?

Not sure what you wanted to do, but you just slapped him with a founder for posting something which wasn't an attempt to trout someone. Methinks you meant to trout him, but chose the wrong fish. Thus, you become worthy of the flounder.
Flounder

Beyond trouting him, I'd say it's just an odd binding of keyboard navigation (instead of or in addition to using the usual Tab for navigation of elements). That would mean this is pretty much just...
Red Herring

Well, You should try some of the HotKeys listed in PDP-11 SIM manuals.

.SWF files did not exist in 1977. Therefor, I'm NOT tossing in a Red herring.
