My logic tells me there's nothing more beyond that device window at the present, as in, the version of the current flash on the site was supposed to end at that point. This shouldn't be this difficult, just think about it. Pretty much every progress we've made so far has been corroborated by clues given by the game. In fact, didn't the site give some kind of "connection error" when the first countdown finished? Maybe it'll happen something like that here too, just to reveal the Device section's contents.

I just tried jedi mind trick on the PDP-11 to no avail. Either the program is not a weak-minded fool, or I am not really a jedi. DAMN YOU INTERNET JEDI COLLEGE ONLINE.COM!!! I WANT MY $12 BUCKS BACK!!

Right, we decompiled the swf and we know there is nothing left to be done there. We have all the files pulled out of it, for now.

I'm not sure if more files are locked up in the website's index, but I doubt it. They will probably update the files as the story progresses.

I feel like there is another website we're missing out on. I'm not sure what it could be, but I feel like there may be more clues in either the newspaper, printout, trailer or some of the other information we've been given.

Either that or we just have to wait until the RocketPopeteers site opens or we get something in the mail.

Who is the "us" in "we" then? Doesn't seem to be you or associates, as I looked into your posts and there is nothing to be found actually. Sorry, I only read someone posting that someone else had been over the source code but I never actually saw that original post. So, i'm kind a curious.

I think he's just re-quoting stuff that's already been said by others. Ihave personnally looked at the code and agree with the conclusion. I'm not an long-time ARG person, but I understand that level of posting is considered inappropriate... AmIright?

I didn't mean to step on anyone's feet. I really didn't. But there are so many posts already that I had to ask this "exclusive" question. I mean, I cannot scroll through 1000 posts again, can I ? I am a regular visitor since the beginning, I watch it about twice a day. My account is new though (as of today), since I felt the urge to speak.
Is it inappropriate to check someone else's past in an ARG? Sorry, I didn't know that, it's my first ARG to participate in.
My only mere question is that someone pinpoint me to that one original post where someone says he/or "they" found the source code to "scarriest...com".

I'm new here too... This is my 2nd ARG.

This should get you started:
Search
Put "source" in the "Search for keywords" and set the "Search in Forum" to "Super 8". That'll reduce the stuff you have to read down to 71 items. (72 after I post this!).

That's a nice querry. But how should I search there for that ultimate post that I'm looking for?
The one "initial" saying "we got the source code for scarriest...?". or anything that alike?
I'm a jackass at HTML or anything that-alike so I can't access it myself. Sorry.
And this site probably wasn't even programmed in pure html, rather, well I don't know. So, I don't have a clue what my search term would be.
If you could help me out there, I'd be much obliged.

Yeah, well, thanks for the edit: still too little info Smile. I'll try my best, though.

Hmm... None of mine have that. But I don't have a printer, so I'm using the XPS Doc Writer.

I believe he means the top righthand side of this page:

I remember in the NIN Year Zero ARG there was this image:

http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s111/maabus_yz/Yzlitho.jpg

In the top left corner are the words "The Mailstrom" which led to another website. Perhaps there are words hidden in the trailer akin to how the Mailstrom message was hidden.

Is there anything in the trailer that could offer leads? I'm suggesting we take another look at the rust, the train cars, all the surfaces.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm dumb and I need arrows pointing to big red boxes with flashing text in them. Embarassed Maybe ARGs aren't for me after all...

I reckon its a weather/almanac type section? I wouldn't think they would have hourly forecasts back then (?)
