Ok, I'm trying to get on on this game too by adding myself to the map. However, I can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone explain what needs to be done to add your name to the map?
I had to log into my gmail account to do it.

I did that already. I might just be overlooking something on the map. What needs to be pressed?
The gmail account you're signed in under has to be the account on file for contacting them. I was talking to them under my hotmail account and thus had to ask that they add my gmail account to their safe list. After that an 'Edit' button will appear on top of the H20 Team: Our Water, Our Planet header on the left.
Random note: It's interesting to me that there's not one marker on there from the West Coast!

I got an email just a few minutes ago:
Quote:
Dear Mr. [Euthanatos]:
Thank you for taking the time to apply for the position of president of community and environmental affairs here at Aguatero Industries. As I'm sure you can understand, this position is absolutely vital to our operations and we must make sure we hire the best candidate possible.
Because of this, we ask you to answer the following questions. Staff members of Aguatero Industries will then each have a say in who we hire.
In answering these questions, please put your gut response. There is no need to respond with extremely lengthy answers. Your answers to the following questions will be shared with others in a nameless manner.
(1) Does the United States waste too much water?
(2) You're in the desert and don't have enough water. Your friend has enough water in his bag for one of you to make it to safety. What do you do?
(3) Rachel Carson: friend or foe?
(4) Some predict our planet will be unable to reach its demand for water in a few decades. How do you respond to that?
(5) A contaminant enters the water supply, and people are calling in concerned. What do you do?
(6) You're walking along the beach and see a large, old sea turtle stuck on its back shell. It's struggling to move. Why aren't you helping?
We appreciate your time.
Sincerely,
Lucinda Rodriguez
Any thoughts on how I should respond to this?... My first thoughts are 1) Should I give them answers that suggest I hate the world and other people or should I seem like a goody-goody? and 2) Who the eff is Rachel Carson?

Oh THAT Rachel Carson.... founder of the environmentalist movement... got it. The more I read this, the more I think they are looking for answers that suggest I actively despise the environment but wear a convincing smile while I dump millions of gallons of oil into the gulf, all BP exec style... Again, any thoughts or suggestions?

I would guess the answer should be yes as the company seems focused on conservation.
(2) You're in the desert and don't have enough water. Your friend has enough water in his bag for one of you to make it to safety. What do you do?
Drink your own urine. It's essentially water and is safe enough to prevent dehydration. Or you can opt to let your friend die and steal his water but I think they might frown on that answer.
(3) Rachel Carson: friend or foe?
Rachel Carson was a marine biologist and nature writer who was concerned with pesticides. Her writings led to the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency
(4) Some predict our planet will be unable to reach its demand for water in a few decades. How do you respond to that?
(5) A contaminant enters the water supply, and people are calling in concerned. What do you do?
Forward the inquiries to the company's Water Quality Analyst (which appears to be me) and assure the public that you're doing everything you can to make sure that the water supply is unharmed.
(6) You're walking along the beach and see a large, old sea turtle stuck on its back shell. It's struggling to move. Why aren't you helping?
Salmonella?
Sincerely,
Lucinda Rodriguez
edit: your theory that they want a corrupt leader who can convince the public that the company is ethical and out to save the world is probably more likely what they're looking for.

Here are my suggested answers, just for input.
(1): Yes.
(2): I take the water and make it to safety, then bring back plenty of water for the both of us to get to safety.
(3): Foe.
(4): I believe there will always be plenty of water if we use it intelligently.
(5): I assure them that experts are working on the issue and send out trucks of Aquatero water for the communities affected.
(6): Because the sea turtle must learn to help itself.
Your answers may be vastly different from mine; I'm just going with what I think they'd want to hear.

Ah whatever forget the map, but I did get the email about working for Aguatero. Maybe I should apply for president as well.

Also, did Aguatero have applications for operator, sales/stock and beverage Research and Development Scientist yesterday? Because they do now.

Yeah they did. I'm now a "Customer Service Representative" effective "Immediately". No further questions asked. I decided to be realistic in case I got in over my head and shoot for the job with no qualification requirements. Wonder if we get some secret login soon... And if only one President applicant will be confirmed...

I also applied for the President job and received the same list of questions as Euthanatos. I just answered them and sent them in.

As did I. Here are my answers submitted. Good Luck
(1) Does the United States waste too much water?
Absolutely. And it needs to stop. Running water is a privilege that is taken advantage of, and people need to be aware of using it more productively and efficiently.
(2) You're in the desert and don't have enough water. Your friend has enough water in his bag for one of you to make it to safety. What do you do?
I allow him to use what is needed first. But recycling is a sufficient option in the desert (there are survival methods for recycling water) to make sure we both are hydrated.
(3) Rachel Carson: friend or foe?
Definite friend if used correctly.
(4) Some predict our planet will be unable to reach its demand for water in a few decades. How do you respond to that?
Efficient use of our water supply is essential for our growth as a company, and a world. If we can produce and sell a method that uses the over 70% of water on Earth to people who need it, there's no telling where we can go.
(5) A contaminant enters the water supply, and people are calling in concerned. What do you do?
Public relations is tight rope. It's important to keep the masses at bay by letting them know what they need to know. We must make sure people are safe, and trust us enough to continue purchasing our product.
(6) You're walking along the beach and see a large, old sea turtle stuck on its back shell. It's struggling to move. Why aren't you helping?
If it's old, it may be time for it to go. Natural Selection.

Looks like I'm a customer service representative, effective immediately. Fun. I wonder if we'll get some special access?
I like the idea that Aguatero's putting something in the water... we may have to choose a side here. Are we fighting for Aguatero or against?
They also said that all employees will have a hand in choosing the president, so maybe those who applied for jobs will get to vote?
EDIT: I'm on the map too, under FloodGateOpen. If they're going for major cities, maybe philly will get some love
