Ahh, didn't even think about using the railroad. Well here's my contribution, played off the Mercury logo.

Hey count cupid, I love that rocket poppeteers logo you have, wish we could put that on the t-shirt. We could do the railroad on front and yours on back...may be expencive though

Love it, Just where does the We will party go? Hidden in the background or on the train tracks?

This could be the back of the shirt. The "We Must Party" would go on the front. Whaddaya think?

Again, we should play it on the safe side and try to stay away from verbiage or logos which might tend to imply anything directly about the IP (intellectual property) of JJ Abrams, Spielberg, and Paramount. We here as fans created the 'We Must Party' slogan relative to the film, so it's ours.

What I was thinking of for the frame idea was based on the 'Scariest thing I ever saw' text. Although the film should be moving vertically, for readability I thought it would be better to render the strip horizontally. That also helps differentiate our phrase from the official canon. Here's a bit of what inspired me:

This is AWESOME! I love you guys. Maybe we could even do something on "CafePress.com". Just a thought.

Holy crap! I go to work and come back and this board EXPLODED! LOL

I'm so glad everyone is so on board with this. I did have an idea at work that would be awesome but possibly a pain. Instead of just individual numbers for the elite why not like something more personlized?

Like for example the "We Must Party" Logo on the front and on the back our Uni ID's and the number 8 kinda like a jersey?

Just an idea.

Leave it to the Professionals

I think everyone needs to go back and read agentasparagus' post on page 5...it sounds like he knows what he's doing and has an artist that will create a uniquely awesome shirt that can be wearable and not too overbearing in it's design, and from the sounds of it he and his friend have put in a lot of thought into this already so i'm waiting to cast my vote until agentasparagus offers up his designs for consideration

Ps i really like the individually numbered shirt idea

Sorry, but I think we have every right to discuss ideas for t-shirts. Although agentasparagus can decide what they will or will not offer from their source, there's nothing that says others can't offer their own We Must Party shirts. It was the creation of Eleven72, so if anyone has the right to designate what's 'official' in terms of a WMP shirt, it is them. Both Eleven72 and agentasparagus seem quite open to suggestions and variations. Please don't try to discourage that. It goes against the whole theory of operation here at uF.

I think the main thing we are hoping to achieve here is a consensus of what will identify the genuine fan originated WMP designs.

Opps

Sorry, i jumped the gun and i guess my phrasing was bit off...what i meant it to mean was

it sounds like agentasparagus has a source that can create a low priced shirt from someone who knows how to work in this medium and that i'm going to wait for their designs to come in as well before making a selection and by referencing his previous post i was merely trying to point out some of the things that need to be considered when thinking up a design (legal, cost, wearability, etc)...and i was under the apparently false impression that this was going to be a mass order of t-shirts from one source, so in closing i didn't realize the tone of my last post was harsh and i'm all for collaboration to create an awesome shirt

i know on some other forums that there is the ability to create a poll, once enough designs come in is there a way to have everyone vote in the poll to decide the winning design?

I really like the second one. Maybe have "wemustparty" or "we must party" on the back of the truck, the space between the taillights instead? If you had a clip of a railroad crossing sign with the actual "railroad/crossing" thing (with the X) then you could put We must party in there somewhere. I really like everything you've come up with so far. =]
