Interesting designs for sure, but uh...
That shape above the word 'Party' in front of the truck. The light flare. Can it be a bit different. Maybe it's subliminal on your part, but the 7 pointed shape is a bit reminiscent of something else. Wink

Would that really be so bad, Euchre? I suspect a fair amount of Unfictioners dabble in the devil's tree... Rolling Eyes

Sorry, I don't want to wear it if it's going to suggest that. Not keen on drawing a bunch of stoners into the group and having that culture represent the fans of Super 8.

Something I'd like to point out about the theory I have behind the making of this shirt design goes along the lines of a trend seen in Vote for Pedro shirts.

That first design with Gordon Cooper

Hey don't want to discourage anything but I just wanted to point out that the design next to the "we" in We Must Party in the first Gordon Cooper design looks like it could be confused with a cross. Again, I don't want to discourage or bash anything, I just wanted to point out a small observation, as I can see my parents wondering why there is a cross on their Jewish sons shirt.

I know I might just be seeing things but I just want to point it out. Dunno

The symbol is from the Mercury monument.

I knew I forgot something in that last post. I know it's not religious in anyway, but I was just looking out for people who might not know that, especially since I come from a VERY Jewish neighborhood. Especially since I had a skateboarding company's symbol as a bumper sticker and my parents said "it LOOKS like a cross regardless of if it is one. take it down." definitely don't want that to happen with this bangin' shirt.

Sorry guys I don't mean to upset or confuse anyone, I just wanted to throw that out there.

I really like this one, maybe without the "Super" for copyright reasons.

I understand. But the others are good options Smile

Agreed! I am very excited and I really can't wait to wear this awesome shirt around!

P.S.- My dad does promotional advertising and can get shirts made as long as you have a design. If you finally figure something out and want me to see what his prices are like let me know.

Hah, I was mostly joking, even if I partook I probably wouldn't walk around advertising it. Illegality and whatnot. Stoner's aren't such a bad group of people, though, and I suspect they're at least 75% responsible for the support behind all the crazy time travel crap Lost started pulling.

Can someone explain this? lol

I see it, nevermind.

The flash from the picture resembles a marijuana leaf, and people might get the wrong (or right, depending on who you are) idea.

I really like the second one. Maybe have "wemustparty" or "we must party" on the back of the truck, the space between the taillights instead? If you had a clip of a railroad crossing sign with the actual "railroad/crossing" thing (with the X) then you could put We must party in there somewhere. I really like everything you've come up with so far. =]

Good ideas, I like...

Really... well it's actually 8 points, and to my eyes it's definitely just a star-like shape and given the truck perspective, seems to be what it's driving towards... I think only people who look for the other symbol will see it. Nonetheless, I'm not sure how to make a bright light frmo the train work and look half decent Razz I tried shrinking it and it reduces the 'effect'; right now I'm going with a slightly vertically shrunk flare, so it looks less 'round' and much less similar to 'that other symbol'...
It could also work without the flare, but it loses the tie to the movie, vague even as it is... but it still works as a generic design =)

This I could understand a little more... yeah it's definitely the Mercury greek symbol with a '7', but lots of people have no idea what greek symbols are. I wasn't sure if it should be added, but threw it in anyway. I like it more actually without it as well. As for the date, I could go either way for that, though the date could prompt more questions from people Smile

that's three basic designs so far on my part, and they're definitely still up for adjustment, not a problem. I'll work up a rail crossing sign version too Smile

ETA: having just tried with the phrase on the back of the truck instead of below, I honestly think it looks better in white on the black background, than in black on the truck. I like the thought, but imo it doesn't lookas 'tshirt'-y...
