My guess is that the next set of axons will appear on the comatas.html page.

comatas sounds oddly like comatose.

I notice that the two Tampa, FL axons aren't listed. Maybe the PM's are finally giving me a break from answering phones in the middle of a Hurricane. Razz

Shocked Wow, I just read your story... I feel bad about complain about having to search for a payphone a block from where the coords said it would be... good job man.

Has anyone made a thread of axons we can visit next week to send to SP? I'll continue looking and edit if I find one.

I'm starting to get a little paranoid about the "what-if" findings of (inflated or deflated) red balloons around... ^_^*

I think that a cross-post is worth it for this.

DarkForge assembled it on his site at:

There's twelve in Tempe on ASU campus within an hour of each other. It's like my prayers have been answered and I got a pony and a couple million bucks out of the deal too.

Should I skip class to get all of them? Very Happy

The other major axon group is in DC - the "not found" one in Union Station:

Mike_Was and I cleared a couple more banks of phones at Union Station yesterday, and I am going to do another today. However. All this effort will leave three phone banks untested (that we know of) plus an unknown number in restaurants (all of which are closed at the axon hour this week but will be wide open next week when all 10 axons hit during lunch hour).

Re phones we WON'T be checking at Union Station: There are, according to one of the payphone sites, a bunch of phones "on the platforms." These most likely are on platforms for the MD and VA commuter trains (MART and VRE). Those platforms are accessible only to ticket holders. We can see a few such phones through the doors to those platforms, but we are not interested in attracting any more attention than we already are, hovering around a transportation hub. So we will not be sneaking through the doors. If there are phones on the Amtrak platforms, similar problems getting access....

And no, we will not be buying tickets just so we can test out the phones out there.

In lieu of a Boston-area axon-hunter thread....

The Queen/Flea/PMs have **finally** put axons in the urban Boston area. I'm going to try and hit as many as possible; but I don't think I can get them all in one day.

06:07 (9:07 EDT) Coolidge Corner, Brookline (Beacon and Harvard Sts., NW corner)

06:13 (9:13 EDT) Massachusetts Avenue, just south of Newmarket Square, Boston (W side)

06:49 (9:49 EDT) NW corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Pleasant Street, Central Square, Cambridge (NW corner)

07:47 (10:47 EDT) Falls St. and Quincy Avenue, South Commons, Quincy (SW corner)

13:19 (16:19 EDT) South Shore Mall, Braintree

As the Braintree axon is a repeat, i assume someone in the swarms that descended there last time knows where the axon is. Anyone? Anyone?

I'll hit as many as I can the first day, but I won't know the passcodes (as I must leave early in order to get through rush hour traffic). The Central Square axon, at the least, should go hot the first day. However, it's not humanly possible to get from Coolidge Corner to Newmarket Square in six minutes, so unless someone else wants to coordinate, those will have to be activated on separate days.

Good Luck, Everyone!
