Added some bits and peices to the wave, we can now watch a live search for #super8 on twitter (if it's quick enough for earthquake notifications it's quick enough for us ). I was also copying text from the wiki about each site when I discovered it's possible to enable an iframe gadget and insert the websites directly.
Have resisted the emoticon gadget so far, but it's not going to be long before I crumble

Might the wave be best seen if it was embedded in a sticky post all by itself, and locked? This thread is prone to being bounced around, and doesn't start right off with the wave, but does seem the logical place to do the 'add me' thing. Could make this one worth stickying for now too. You might want to add instructions to that one post locked thread to ask to be added and point to this thread.

I think that's a good plan, I'm on it. It's actually a little bit annoying having the wave load when you just want to see the rest of the thread too (though that might be my slightly disappointing connection speed).
[Edit] Done, any feedback that anyone has (positive and negative) and ways to improve how the wave is set out, used whatever very welcome. Even better, just change it yourself

mikey - how do you get rid of all the useless comments on there or am I missing the point?

I'm not sure what the point is yet. It's a lot more malleable than the forum, so we should take advantage of that, but then if the whole thing is deleted every two seconds that's a pain in the arse too.
I think, if you don't like something go ahead and change it, useless comments and all - that's one of its strengths, other people can roll them back if they don't like them, or add them in a different form.
Personally I'm keen to get a feel for how it works and everyone being able to add and delete stuff is part of that. What do you reckon?
In terms of the practicalities, the drop down list next to each blip (by the date) has all the stuff you can do to each blip or larger wavelet (the blip I made containing the twitter feed is an example of a wavelet* as there are now other blips within it - think that's the terminology), hit that and edit, or delete the whole thing (or copy whole chunks elsewhere or whatever).
*[Edit] No it isn't. I just looked.

Thanks for putting the wave together, but I question how well it will stack against the familiar and more static unfiction forums...

Don't worry, Chrome Frame also works for the forums!
