[SPEC] Section Of Area 51 Closes in 1979

Why?

This one's for discussion on the events at Area51 if they come relevant - so far, we are told in the trailer a section is closed down and contents being transported, and then crash happens.

The only thing I found (on an off the cuff search) is that there was a real crash (Have Blue) on July 11, 1979.

Could this be related to something that actually happened at A51, a section really was closed? Or if it's pure fiction, surely somebody at A51 has the inside scoop...we must find them.

What other Area51 slash 1979 connections can we dig up?

The United States government has tested cutting-edge aircraft at Area 51 for forty years, from the U-2 spy plane to the Blackbird. For many years, government sources denied that Area 51 existed. Russian spy photographs released in 2000 made it impossible to deny any longer, and the government finally stated, "We acknowledge having an operating site there, and the work is classified."

Area 51 gained great notoriety in 1979, when Bob Lazar announced that he worked at Area 51 on alien spacecraft, and that alien bodies were stored there. On Las Vegas television, Lazar claimed that the government was keeping nine alien "disc" spacecraft at Area 51, that he worked on reverse-engineering the craft and that he held a security clearance thirty-eight levels higher than "Q," which is the highest civilian clearance known. Arrrg.....(oh hey, now I see why you call it that)... I know. I'm obsessing today. I got it in my head there is - has to be - another way in, so I'm probably overanalyzing looking for something...anything.

Don't mind me.

Ha ha, good luck finding someone that worked at any classified Military location willing to spilling the beans. I can tell you that if they did have anything to say it sure wouldn't have anything to do with Alien Spacecraft, trust me Wink

Now, military installations move or close sections all the time, nothing out of the ordinary. However, there were rumors that Aliens were taken to Wright Patterson from Area 51. I don't believe it took place in the 70's but either way this is apparently the basis for the film. There are many websites that claim to have proof and I don't think you will find anything related to this film as they are OOG/real world, but it may make for a cool backdrop/parallel to the film while you wait for more clues to pop up. There are some crazy theories out there.

I still like the link to the firefight at dulce and project blue, it can't just be coincidence that it refers to an underground base/alien nest and schnider was friends with dan morris and gordon cooper? and all this happened around the right timeline too!

I very much like these connections too. Also, Schnider seems to be the most public about things he saw, giving seminars and all. Perhaps friend Dan Morris wants him to stop being so public?
