the way the blood is splattered makes me think tim coughed up or vomited the blood. And yes all my theories do involve tim

As much as Tim's hacking in #20 seems to give him a likely wrap for having the bloody cough of death, I'm thinking that the bloody sink is more closely linked to Alex. Alex is the only one that we've seen bloodied. When Jay visits the house in #16, everything upstairs is virtually the same as it was when Alex was squatting there. The blood was quite dry when Jay touched it (eugh)... I think that if Masky had been squatting there and had bloodied up the sink, we'd see more evidence of him futzing around with the place -- as in #18, where the sink was cleaned and things upstairs were moved around.

I'm not counting the overturned couches of the main floor because I think they could swing things either way: They could be a sign of someone (Masky) upturning and rooting through everything to find something... but they could also have been messed with by Alex. He was ripping things up in #3, which might correspond to all of the bits of magazine on the floor.

(Though working Tim into all of your theories is awesome. XD I'm amused that he's stolen the show to some extent!)

Well, every ARG and its dog these days seems to involve the Slender Man, but only Marble Hornets has Masky.

Unless of course you're copying Marble Hornets. XD Wasn't there one blog-based game that had pretty well copied the Masky-mask idea? I don't remember which one, I just glimpsed that someone had used the same thing and painted it slightly differently in one uploaded picture. For shame.

Not to mention that each of these ARGs and ARFs seems to want to give Slendy some new ability and/or modus operandi...

Seriously, with all these writers calling him up to do various horrific things to their characters, I'm surprised Slendy ever gets anything done at all. Doesn't he get some alone time?

Maybe the reason Slendy is attracted by cameras is that MH is a meta-fictional ARG that is going to reveal that Slendy is actually created by the power of perception, kind of like a Weeping Angel in reverse, and that he really does just get new powers whenever needed, because the ARG's writer(s) actually give him those powers.

So one thing you're all missing... In Entry 8(?), Alex is seen scribbling... You can clearly see him write 'HEL'... in the same hand as 'HELP (X)' was written...

Check through the Entry #26 thread. This has been brought up a couple of times! Are you simply implying that the writing has to be Alex's, or was there something more to you wanted to suggest?

Sorry, been on this site for ages but new to a)this game and b)games that have their own subforum in general (Or did ILB have its own? So long ago, can't recall). Didn't read the other threads. I'm just saying I don't get how it's still in question that Alex at least added the 'HELP (X)' card, even if TTA/Timasky delivered it (as a lure? Under Alex's orders? Under Slendy/Operator's?)

It's been a running thing with the Marble Hornets watchers/players/community to never freaking settle on any one possibility as the correct outcome. Nobody settled on Tim being Masky until quite late in the game, and some still question that!

Some people think that, because it's implied that there is a 'no camera' rule in the house, and that since SM showed up almost as soon as the camera was panned on Alex's face, that the camera and tape were a plant by TTA and that Alex wasn't involved at all. Others speculate that since SM is so aggressive looking before the camera whites out, Amy and Alex's fate was likely not a good one, or that at least Alex probably wouldn't have had time to write up the 'HELP (X)' note and package everything and mail it off.

There's also the fact that Jay realized that someone has been managing to keep track of him the entire time, despite his constant and randomized movements, and since Alex appeared to be uninvolved (or at least not to the level of tracking him down), and that the package was delivered to his door on a Sunday, TTA is most likely the one who delivered it.

Anyways, it could be that TTA mimicked the letters, or that he found the HELP (X) card from Alex's earlier sketch-frenzy, in addition to the theory that Alex writing the note itself for his present predicament. The reason that the writing is under question is that it seems as though Alex is uninvolved in the present day, so him knowing where Jay was or being connected with TTA in any way seems dubious.

There's also the memory lapses to be thinking of, remember of course that Jay didn't describe his not remembering the Brian/Operator-in-the-window footage as a 'hole' in his memory, just that he didn't remember it happening, which could mean holes, yes, but also could mean false memories. Just because they think their memories are fine doesn't mean they are. I'll admit I didn't think my last post completely through, and that my theory is less likely, but not -unlikely entirely-, and certainly not impossible.

I agree that it's plausible. I mean, it's probably even the most likely way that things happened! That was my first thought when I watched #26, too. A lot of people have posited some good reasons to think otherwise though, throughout the thread... the more that people have said, the more it just seems like Jay walked himself into a trap set up by TTA and Slender Man.

That's where Jay has been teleporting too, when he warps around. Slendy's domain is where Slendy lures his victims.

What if Slendy doesn't kill his victims? There are no bodies, no evidence. What if he simply lures them back to whatever hell-dimension he came from, and never lets them go?

But Jay came back.

Jay is special, because he has a special ability that allows him to ESCAPE from Slendy's home. That's all it is. He's vulnerable to the rest of Slendy's powers, but for some reason Slendy can't keep him locked up like he keeps the others.

That's what the Big Reveal is going to be: Even the people Slendy has taken out are still alive, waiting to be rescued. Brian, Seth, Sarah, they're still locked up in Slendy's home base (this explains why someone thought Brian could be found in that house: It's one of Slendy's teleportation points, the last place Brian was seen before Slendy nabbed him). They'll probably need several decades of therapy, but they'll come back.

This would probably explain Alex saying "They're all gone," although Jay is still alive and well. We haven't seen the others.

Then Tim and Alex would have that ability too, seeing as how they're still around

Minor theory about the ARK, which is what this thread is technically about... What if it's an artifact, some object of worship? An otherwise mundane "thing" that bears special significance to the Operator and the Seeker/Masky/Tim (ToTheArk) for some alien reason?

A camera or something, maybe? The only things that I can think of that might be relevant are cameras, paintings, and places like the red tower. Maybe the Ark is Slendy's basement world. We've never seen TTA/Masky actually down there, though he seemed quite intent on getting Jay to go there.

It would explain why he is trying to drag Jay back into the search, and perhaps even why he set Alex up, if the camera in #26 was a plant. It showed scenes of Alex in what looks like the basement world... and it seemed to piss Slendy off enough that it caused him to show up immediately. If TTA really wanted to get into the basement world, it seems like this'd be a good way to go about it... at least in the case that he seems to like to do things in a round-about manner.
