Relating "Wicker Whatever" to ILB:

The story mentions a "clockwork rat".
Either a "clockwork rat" is a common occurence in fairytales or SP has read
this one.

forgot to mention how i found the site (a google search for clockwork rat:

Yes perhaps SP is just making stuff up from things we sent her. Like when she did from the initial email messages. Did anyone send her these poems?

Now that I think about it maybe these peoms are not important refering to the SP story, it should be more about the content of SP's story and what it can tell us about the SP. If she is writing what she knows about then that can possibly give us clues about her.

This sounds wild but...
Maybe someone should write a short story in a fairytale fashion and send
it to Sp.
A story where a young princess who is alone and outnumbered gets the
trust of some benevolent strangers by opening up to them. They in turn
help her fight off the bad, wicked, evil guys.
She likes to emulate fairytales and we could possible manipulate her into
behaving in a more open fashion or into performing a particular acton.

Wait, since SP rehashes stuff we send her, why don't we send her an dictionary or encyclopedia? That way she doesn't have to reference fiction all the time - she can allude to fact.

Because while the search function is potentially extremely useful, it requires a certain amount of "search fu" (thanks Krystyn). Try searching for "search fu" for that matter. Sounds simple, no? Krystyn used it talking to me about how much the search function really doesn't work. I tried to search for it just now to link here, but once again, the search function failed me. I had to go back to all my saved pages and scroll through them just to find a post about "search fu"

It's a great idea, but there's just too much for it to look through, and you need an exact match to get anything.

meep. Off-topic here, but you do have to make the search work for you a little. F'rinstance:

You remembered "search fu," right? Did you remember it was posted by me? Put my name in the appropriate box to get messages by me, containing the term "search fu." If you were bantering with me in real-time, and you only check the forums at work, let's say, and you know it was this week, you can then select the forums to only show messages from a certain numbers of days past.

Search does work, especially if you've been lurking a bit and you've been able to make little storage files in your brain for who's who and what topics have been covered. It's not a perfect system for everyone, but not everyone's forum approach is the same, so.

When I search by keyword, I will try a variety of phrases and forms of the word. Here's an example - each separate line can be a single attempt to find information:

- aunt margaret name origin bee
- margaret name meaning
- margaret names
- margaret meanings
- baby names margaret
- what does margaret's name mean


You want to try singulars, possessives, eliminating one of your choices, adding in a couple other specific phrases (because I've often used baby name websites for ARGs I've worked on, I hope that my "baby names" keywords might help me come up with a specific thread or post about name origins, but who knows?)

Search is tricky, but you can wrestle it to the ground and steal its lunch money if you mess with it enough.
