I'm beginning to think that Jessica/PathologicalTruth is actually part of this particular ARG/experience/whatever this is, although truth and fiction seem to be more muddled here than I'm used to -- I didn't follow Shane's other projects but seem to recall that being par for the course given my vague recollections of Silver Ladder...
It's more likely that Jessica is merely mingling personal assets with in-game ones for a collaboration, but a few things piqued my curiosity.
Things that got me curious:
-in addition to the "Door" video posted to the PathologicalTruth Youtube page, there is now a Time is Running Out video that seems in line with the ARG Information post
-the Art Pathological Facebook account's first wall post was about the ARG Information DVD
-the dedication to Shane launching the Reflections blog
-The This Is Not an ARG clip from the ARG Information DVD seems thematically matched with the TINAG trail on PathologicalTruth, leading to a registration page .
Again, I'm not sure how much of this is Jessica, how much is part of the Pathological Truth experience, and how much of this is part of whatever is going on with Maxwell.

I too am feeling a little disoriented by the muddling of truth and fiction, notgordian. Although that is making it all the more intriguing (for me at least.)
Here's what's posted on Mr. Proffitt's wall now:

Art should be free don't manufacture anything! There is some nonsense.
The DVD you bought was manufactured by someone in their house. The person bought the raw materials and charged a price to recoup the loss and pay for the interview. Since art should be free and not manufactured and distributed copy the disc and give it to people. Sure, you will be stealing from Shane Watson who is the common friend here. You will help him inch toward a destiny in a cubicle. You would hurt someone you admire but the art will be free. Or is it only good to steal when you don't see the people. Stealing from the faceless Korporation would be great. You don't see the people who work there.
Everyone gets something out of what they create when they bring it to the public. It might be reputation, money, friendship or a place on a reality show but everyone sets a price.

I attempted to engage Maxwell in discussion with a message about free art, and how it's something I've struggled with in my career both as a theatre practitioner and as a teacher. It was quite lengthy and a bit rambly, but I got this response:
Quote:
Teaching is all the whisper of a ghost can do. Thank you.
Maxwell J Proffitt
Not sure I know what he means by that. I replied, saying I didn't think I understood. We'll see if I get anything back, because his latest status update is as follows:
Quote:
Maxwell James Proffitt is finished.
Hmm...

I can't make head or tails of that response either, heybeesly.
But a little of what he says seems to me to be very much in line with Ayn Rand's philosophical treatise "The Virtues of Selfishness". In a nutshell: No such thing as altruism. We all do things out of self-interest.
This creates an interesting dichotomy. We as a society are drawn to those people who exhibit altruistic behaviors (even though their self-interested behavior is getting them precisely what they crave: our admiration and praise) yet we demean and at times shun those who want to sell us products or become rich in the process of selling us those products (even though we WANT those products and will go so far as to degrade ourselves morally by stealing them.)
The 2 photos he chose to put up are also rather interesting I think.

Lessons Too LateShare
Those who hear may not always listen. My lessons came too late. I saw no good in the world and took what I wanted. I saw a world filled with hypocrisy. There was no beauty and there was no good. The feelings of others were never a consideration as I lied and cheated my way to the top of the most important organization around.
Money was all that I wanted. My greed was my god. My survival was all that mattered. Just like it was for everyone else.
One person was painfully honest. One person admitted the difficulty of trying to act in a way that is fair to others and fair to the self. If we want beauty, art, creativity in the world we need to support. If we want the world to be ethical we need to act in an ethical manner. We need balance and honesty in everything we do. I lied to myself about what I did. Don't do as I did.
I don't know if it will work but I am finally free. Thank you
Sounds like a 'goodbye' note at the least....

So I submitted my information on the TINAF page listed earlier in this thread (which essentially sends an email using your local client; not a fan of that, but it's quick and dirty).
Just got my response:
Quote:
Congratulations on entering and winning the Pathological Truth Contest of Stuff (and things)! Your prize will be sent to you within a week or so (or whenever I feel like it).
Congratulations again! You are winner!

So we'll see what happens...

Also worth noting (although again, this may be from the PathologicalTruth whatever-it-is, so may turn out to be irrelevant) there's what looks to be a barcode on two keys on the TINAK page.

Back from the long weekend and my DVD showed up in the mail.
First, email I received from Jessica after I ordered:
Quote:
He says that yours is probably the most important. So, I hope you will share what you learn with anyone else who is interested. I am sure he thanks you in advance.
So, I have 25 and on the back is
B + A + C + H =

Purely guessing as you, Toasty, have TEH mad skillz. B + A + C + H ="14"= "N".

I edited my post to say SPEC as I don't know for certain that it is related. It's a very similar vibe to Voices In The Static, but you're right to question it.

Interesting, Tres. Saying like Fox Mulders "I want to believe " so have followed back Voxstat (latin meaning: cry instantly).
Also this just posted on FB:

Amandel. The quote on Arg information is from Marylin Monroe.
"First, I'm trying to prove to myself that I'm a person. Then maybe I'll convince myself that I'm an actress."
No idea what that means though.
