Geez another cool reply. some thoughts:

The question is how to ask questions we need answers to without the project team catching wind that it's not actually Walter Greenberg asking the questions.

I was thinking what's to stop us from pretending to be Schelter himself instead of Greenberg?? Have Alvarez send an email as if from him. If worded well, we could get better answers out of it. Especially if it becomes a one-time shot. And I don't think we need worry about a politician type answer only because if this works, they will believe they are responding to their boss and shouldn't hold back!

Also we could use the recent power outage as an excuse to ask questions that "were lost due to damage" to Schelters computer or some such thing.

We should come up with a few different questions but how bout for one something like "due to the power outage we have been forced to cut back the usual supply of people in the next shipment. How many do you require to proceed?" ------------- something like that but maybe worded a little better though hahah. it's rather open ended and not specific when the supply usually comes in or how many it is BUT it would confirm for us if they are actually using people for their consumable workforce and if we're lucky it may even tell us how often and how many.

Also one thing to consider. since alvarez is using the Church's signal to access the K1 facility what is to stop them from knowing about this email as well? they are probably monitoring whatever Alvarez does with his hacking. we have to be careful not to ask anything that could piss the church off or give them a reason to maybe even change/delete the reply before it reaches Alvarez.

i can tell you what to do to catch up but it would take forrrrever to summarize everything

1. play through everything you can on the desktop screen until you are kicked out and when you attempt to reenter the anomaly you get an ERROR message.

3. There are hidden IP's which lead to hidden messages on a website called IPAddresser within a bunch of the .txt files that come with the downloaded audio files. Read them easier here http://interdimensionalgaming.wikia.com/wiki/IPaddresser

4. You will receive a single piece of content through a program on the desktop screen. It could be a whacked out video, one of several spanish online news articles, an audio recording, or a document titled K1 hardware activation results. Everyone got one of these things except links to download them were posted a while back in this thread. i have them all sitting on my comp if you want them, pm me your email and i can send them to you.

my understanding of Al's connection to us comes from two diff quotes,

From Malcolms very first post:

"Thank-you Alvarez! You've managed to use our signal to bypass the block Henry put down and found a way onto their internet once again! It didn't take us very long to copy what you've done. I must say that we are very impressed! You're obviously very skilled at your craft."

and then when Al was talking about it recently:

"I honestly wasn't getting very far considering even the managerial office has very little access or information on the K1 facility. It was when I found a signal emanating from somewhere within Cuba that I began to get results. This signal I found is a direct line into the K1 facility and I simply connected my rig to it and the next thing I knew I was talking to you."

I think these two quotes connect meaning he is using the Church's signal to gain his access to the K1 facility and/or Henry and then subsequently to us. access he couldnt get properly through his dads work.

thoughts? am I missing something?

Also there is a possibility Kevin is still missing, if this email Al found dated March 2nd is referring to our Kevin anyway:

"Walter,

I know I told you that we need to wait for Kevin to return but it looks like we'll have to proceed without him. The police contacted me earlier today and it seems Kevin has been reported missing as of this morning. I have already contacted a possible substitute and if the police can't find Kevin by tomorrow, the sub can be here in two days.

March 2nd was a long time ago now so who knows. Your other points are well taken Seadevil. we could get no reply at all if they suspect anything is up such as mentioning people as consumable workforce or sending from schelter.

Questions to ask Henry, we need to know his mental state especially with regard to how he views mankind. Any budding Shrinks available?

Possible Questions to ask the Cortex Team:

Are there any side effects to the consumable work force?
Did the recent power outage have any effect on the K1 facility?
What is the current progress of the project in relation to the education of K1?
Have there been any further power spikes since the M2 activation and if there have been what is the mostly likely cause?
What is one thing currently stopping us from achieving our ultimate goal?


Any other suggestions?

lol yeah it does seem to be on pause. the idgi blog post a while ago kind of answers this though, they are "shifting our development priorities to our 3D component." and we're stuck in this interlude! I think it's cool though, at least they're still letting us ask questions and shit.

I agree a little generic replies from alvarez but iam happy he confirmed Malcolm was in Cuba during the break in and it also confirms (more or less) they have a facility there. all of course as always, if Alvarez is telling the truth. this facility is going to be important at some point I know it!! they just dont want to reveal the exact location yet. Also got his full name, not that it matters much lol but Malcolm Thomas.

From what i can figure Seadevil I think Alvarez is piggybacking the Church signal in order to access Henry in the first place. I think Henry is the only one that has opened this "portal" to us and the Church have found a way to piggyback it from their own facility it Cuba. So Alvarez piggybacks the Church signal which is itself piggybacking Henry's signal to us. lol. The Church must have found a loophole Henry doesn't know about so they can talk with us through our forums as Henry cannot. I think since the Church are the only ones that can speak to us, Alvarez must be going through them in some way to accomplish the same. or alvarez found the same loophole the Church found in Henry's connection to us. I'm confusing myself a little but that's what i think!! the K1 facility in the end is the only facility able to connect to our universe and the church/alvarez are using it.

I was waiting to see if they reply to this new guy Serik - are you reading these forums too Serik??? His latest questions were really great ones that will open up their world a little more if answered properly. make this book that much more deep! lol I too think its important to discover differences in the timeline and that's exactly what he's trying to do.

Yep read Serik's questions. Looks like he's concentrating on the pre-history with an eye on Aliens/Guardians visits. Should interesting to see what Malcolm comes back with.

I admit a got bored winding Malcolm up and nothing has happened for a couple of weeks, so its time we made something happen.

...Yes, sublime, I made it a point to gather all information I could before posting anything - Which was quite exhausting considering the length of this particular forum =P. Yet their is a disturbing lack of information on the wiki. I added some information to it myself, and would have added more, except that my character profiles on the people and groups within this 'iDGi' universe are incomplete and other information I could provide wouldn't contribute enough to be page worthy...and I'm still missing a few files.
Now, my questions. Most of them deal with Alien / Guardian activity because so far the only confirmed connection with the Guardians is the fact that the church "Worships" them - not the most apt term, but suitable - after all, correlation does not imply causation, and the fact they worship a race of aliens they came up with in response to a series of possible coincidences could be just... A coincidence. Nevertheless, they have resources, and a working connection to Henry, limited as it is. I believe that, like it or not, we'll have to work with them eventually since Alvarez isn't likely to put himself on the line.
A few more things that bother me are 1) Alvarez tells us his last name the first time he hacks into the forums and posts. Why the church hasn't just run a search on "Famosa", especially after Seadevil let it slip that "Al's father works in the head office in Cuba indirectly related to the K1 facility."
.2) The lack of discussion on the iDGi staff, the WVI CEO, and the encompassing Chess theme (Rook-1, B6, The 'B6 team' page, etc.) and
3) If Kevin Chard has gone missing...What does that mean? I do believe he was needed for something, and if they still need someone for that something...well, Alvarez did say Mr.Chard was almost as impressive as he was. Just saying, that since all traffic from here to there runs through the K1 facility, and thus Henry, that it may not have been the church who searched Mr.Famosas' house...for whatever reason. Well, that about does it...Oh, yeah.
I'm whispering a thread to VD in the forums, asking how they managed to build the iDGi. Did some research before I posted it too. Apparently, he was the first to travel through to the other side on "December 10th" of last year. Anyone else remember what happened on that day? Lol.
Anyway, sorry for the long post.

hey Serik, glad to have you on board! I agree the wiki is lacking a ton and needs work. I keep telling myself im going to spend time and at least finally get information on the YouTube videos on the wiki and then I never get around to spending the time. sigh. It would take forever but another good plan would be to break down all the information from the forum into the wiki as ordered as possible. maybe an idgi universe timeline or something like that

One comment serik, who is to say the Church has not looked up Alvarez's father and now knows everything about him? Malcolm could have already known the answer as well before he even asked. He keeps trying to get us to speak about him to alvarez, this could have just been another ploy to try and look good to alvarez. "we can get your father fired!" kinda shit.

The chess theme comment got me thinking. Its probably a coincidence but remember Alvarez said that Kevin calls Henry, Henry IX?? A reference to a King?!?

Sublimetime, I posted this previously regarding Henry IX. There was no British King called Henry 9th, however there was a Bishop. According historical sources he was a really nice guy worked with the poor and all that.

Which leads us back to Henry being a nice guy and the Church bad-mouthing him. Question is why? What threat does Henry represent?

Malcolm can't tell us because we would think he crazy yeah right! We talking aliens, other dimensions and A.I's what's crazy about that.

Maybe the Church are the aliens an advance guard if you like, here to butter up the humans and Henry sees them for who they really are.

heheh I know you posted that and I know there was no King Henry 9th. i should have explained better! My only point was that there WAS a Henry 8th, soooo he could be calling him the 9th meaning the "next" King Henry because maybe for whatever reason KEvin was a fan of Henry 8th or sees his personality in Henry. This would put the opposite light on him as 8th was a nut bag. Again its a long shot but at this point we just dont know for sure until we can speak to Henry and ask him! or kevin. you mean this guy right? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Benedict_Stuart he was a cardinal bishop at one point, true that. so it could very well be him as well and it still fits the chess theme!

and lol, you've got a good point about malcolm thinking that!! i guess he figures his knowledge of Henry is one step too far into la-la-land for us to handle! hahah or shit maybe he's bullshitting to keep us wondering!
