 		[OT][MOVIENEWS] Casting notice for Super8?
Late last night Paramount released a casting notice for a new film.

Not confirmed as a Super 8 casting notice yet, but the article indicates that it is. Interesting that they are looking for virtual unknowns with "No previous acting experience necessary."

 		Good catch there.
Personally, I hate this idea. I don't want Super 8 to turn out as E.T. 2 (in a way, you know). Three kids in the lead roles? Goonies meets Predator? And Spielberg involved? Hell, No, please...
Gimme more of Abrams-style. Mystery-Monster-Horror. Paalease.

I've put up info on the wiki http://super8.wikibruce.com/Casting_Call

If it pans out that it's not S8 related, then it'll be removed from the wiki. But, if it is, most likely the character names are fake, and the demo scenes may be unofficial as well. But it gives a little insight into some of the characters in the movie. Hm.

 		One of the scenes of dialogue for the Josh character is totally from Freaks and Geeks. Awesome.


EDIT: I guess all of the characters use the same scenes. But, I still find that amusing.

 		Good catch. We'll see if this pans out as SUPER 8. It doesn't read like I would expect it to, but then again a casting notice probably wouldn't.

Is it normal for movies to have "No expierence needed" when looking for someone?

Anyway Im hoping from what JJ said is that the "Main Characters" just find the film and then they hopefully watch it and thats where the fun comes in. Knowing JJ its going to be epic, but probably not with the kids... Wink

Not to be the barrer of bad news...BUT.... The Casting Notice isnt for Super 8 apperently...

I honestly dont think the movie description of what JJ said is true...I think its a lie...I dont think Super 8 is about Kids with a Super 8 camera...Nothing in the Trailer or the Viral matches...(Unless you count the kid on Rocket Poppeteers....)

the trailer was just a kick start it doesnt have to match really who knows what direction the film will go idont think kids with a super 8 would be the whole film cuase it would be to similar to cloverfield or diaryof the dead i dont think j.j. lied but doubt he told us much
